We have paid big wages since Sam arrived and the trend continued through a number of chairman and managers. Players aimt going to pick cardiff over a prem team like palace just for the hell of it. Its all about money.

This is very true for the last 40yrs to my knowledge.Even in what I call the old day's(70's)it was the same.

yes you did. You compared the game as Ole tactics vs Mackay tactics, you actually name dropped them both & were using it to slate OGS.

How do you know Ole has made great signings this summer? Nobody has seen the majority of them play yet! Hopefully they will come good though.

I don't know, but in my opinion they are very astute signings. You haven't seen them play before? That's strange, I have. :laughing6: the ones where I haven't, the stats paint very good pictures.

I didn't initially, only when the usual culprits brought it up did I compare a team being well organised as Malky like whereas a team open, attacking and disorganised Ole like. I haven't seen any of our signings play regularly so I can't make a fair judgement whether they are good or bad signings.

Le Fondre was usually on the bench for Reading, Dikgacoi has only been with Palace 2 seasons after failing to break into the Fulham team, Macheda has constantly failed on loan to Championship clubs apart from Birmingham last season, Guerra looks great but might fail to adapt to the British style, like Forlan for example, Burgstaller I know nothing about, so congratulations to your vast footballing knowledge being able to see all these new signings play regularly enough to know they will definitely be good signings for us.

you did it. So don't be such a hypocrite. :laughing6: :laughing6:

Le Fondre was usually on the bench for Reading,

and done well from there. If he does the same here, great?

Dikgacoi has only been with Palace 2 seasons after failing to break into the Fulham team,

he then won promotion and was a regular in a team that finished 11th in the premiership.

Macheda has constantly failed on loan to Championship clubs apart from Birmingham last season.

surely that's great then? Hes coming to us in the right form. 10 in 18 (?) for a struggling Brum side... On a free.. What more do you want?! :laughing6:

Guerra looks great but might fail to adapt to the British style, like Forlan for example.

he might also flourish too. It's a free signing, at least we won't be paying 8 million like we did for Cornelius, eh?

Burgstaller I know nothing about,

me either, but I didn't say all, I said majority.

so congratulations to your vast footballing knowledge being able to see all these new signings play regularly enough to know they will definitely be good signings for us.

I didn't say that I knew, learn to read. However, I've seen enough of them to think that they will be great signings, alongside some of our other excellent players. :thumbright:

Don't you remember turning a thread about Merthyr into a Malky vs Ole debate?! :laughing5: :laughing5:

You're just as bad with it. I liked Malky, but he's gone. Get behind OGS, he's made some great signings this summer.

Macheda has been in the English leagues for ages
Le Fondre the same
Dikagcoi been here a few years
Burgstaller remains to be seen
Guerra remains to be seen

And no don't put this on us, in your specific words you said that Merthyr's performance was exactly like us under Ole this season compared to their opponents with a 'Malky' like approach.

There's no escaping it, we all saw it

You can buy our Leonardo Ulloa for £10m if you like

Leicester City have made 4 bids and still got turned down. They originally offered £3m then it kept going up by £300k and the fourth it was £7m and got rejected out of hand. We want £10m, we have been mugged in the past due to Poyet but are standing firm now. Leicester want the cream of the Championship for peanuts but have said they have £180m to spend, we want some.

If we sell our players like Ulloa on the cheap then how on earth are we going to replace him, took us 2 years to find him and good center forwards don't come cheap. Leicester fans think they'd be mugs to pay that, good, f**k off and find someone as good for peanuts. Getting fucked off with clubs thinking we're a selling club, maybe, but pay what we want.
