Re: ' I Honestly cant still get my head around it '

I think the problem is some people try to blame Tan for everything. It gets so silly that people inadvertently end up defending him. For in am ideal world he would sell up and we would return to blue but I don't see that happening soon.

The rebrand I think he deserves everything he gets, other than that I'm not so sure. At the end of the day the vast majority of people accepted the rebrand 2 tears ago, not enough was done at the time to protest. That was the time to make a fuss and the majority gave in and accepted the red be it reluctantly. Only those who didn't attend games again fought for the blue.

As for the 10,000 down I think it says everything about our fans rather than Tan.

Was it worth it?
Well it was never choice, we were red in the championship, red in the premiership. I certainly didn't stop going because of the red and it definitely wasn't about the prem. For me it was a simple choice of either going to games and watching us play in red or stop going. Tans promises and money were a second thought. At the end of the day are owners/chairman ever honest?

This will be my last season as a season ticket holder though, not as enjoyable anymore and I'll have more important things to do with my money next year. Tan can take part of the blame for it not as enjoyable, other fans part as well but in the end it's my choice and I'll just pick and choose games if and when I fancy them.
People should do what they want without worrying what other people say or do. Be that a red top or a protest top.

Re: ' I Honestly cant still get my head around it '

Sun Jun 15, 2014 12:02 pm

I was amazed that when some finally found their balls to "protest" it was strictly a "nothing to be said about Tan" thing.

The guy who did it and the guy that said it wont change while he is there - bizarre.

But there has always been a divide in the fans because of the red/blue debate, and that's surely Got to fall on Tan's lap

Funniest thing is, he was on here saying he was protesting for Mackay and was also at BU meetings.

That's why you can only really take notice of certain posters now, to have a decent debate about anything.

Does that count when recently people have changed their minds and now hate Tan?

That has happened and they have been welcomed with open arms and said that people can change their minds.....only one way I take it?????

Simply pointing out the irony

I honestly cant still get my head around it that Tan still has his lovers/followers after all he has done to our club, ripped it apart, destroyed the heart of it,divided it that we feel no pride,£150 mill in debt, a laughing stock in the media and around the world, fans so fed up with Tans circus, some even blaming everyone else in the club but Tan, yet Tan is without doubt 100% in control of everything and has the final say,no matter what and has done from day one including sacking 3 CEO's in less than 2 years.

I cant believe some of the posts on here in support of Tan, but thats their opinions, I am shocked/stunned,but I suppose some dont want to see the truth.

Even some of the ardent fans like Steve Davies,Carl Curtis, Gary aka Castleblue, who have from day one given Tan the benefit of the doubt,no longer have any respect for him.

10,000 less fans next season(that speaks volumes) and No identity,

And guess what were back in the Championship.

Was it really all worth it?

For me 100% DEF NOT

I agree 100% with Annis and many others on here - who support a BLUE Cardiff with our rightful BLUEBIRD crest!

The thing is, YES Tan has done a lot for our club financially HOWEVER we are FAR MORE in debt than we have ever been AND he's failed on promises!!

Tan would have been the perfect owner - IF he didn't rebrand us and kept his word about the equity.. This alone is why Tan is an absolute joke to me... anything else just makes my feelings worse! :bluescarf:

It's quite simple really Tam owns the club and can do whatever he wants to with it. You own a house, you can paint it red if you wish. You have a garden, you can choose to plant red flowers in it if you wish because it's yours.
Modern football isn't about 'our club' it's about the owners. They come in, invest move on... Like it or not that's modern football. Do the fans own Chelsea or does Abramovich?

Fans are fickle, there wasn't much protesting about red when we were winning matches in the Championship. I don't like being red, but can live with it as I can see how much money the man is investing in the club. Is it 'our fans' who are playing for the stadiium expansion or buying the new signings. Was it 'our fan's money Malky wasted?
You obviously have your own agenda and I respect that as we all have opinions but please don't call us Tan lovers etc we possibly have our eyes open to see things as they are.

This is ludacris... to even compare the running of a football club to owning a house is laughable... secondly, what other owner do you know that has completely rebranded a club in the 'modern game'? Complete badge change along with a new 'slogan' and different colour shirts.... and to even mention Chelsea and Abramovich is madness.... that man has invested so much into that club but has hardly turned a profit until last year... he wouldnt even consider rebranding Chelsea because from what I gather he respects the history and tradition of the club..

You'll probably find that the money from the UEFA Super Cup will probably cover quite a lot of the stadium expansion... from what i've heard theres a lot of money involved to host this sort of match.... I could be wrong off course...

The thing is, it's not all about money - and you can say your eyes are open to see things as they are BUT quite frankly how can the man be a hero when we are far more in debit than we were when he come in.... Oh and theres also the fact he promised debt to equity and guess what........

Disgraceful comment, I was down the city in the 80s when 1500 fans turned up, how dare you call fans who support this club in its current state plastics.

16 years a season ticket holder and it's comments like that which simply piss me off.

I still can't get my head around the fact that people are still moaning. We are a bigger club now, known throughout the world. It's never going to change. Sometimes you just can't have your own way. That's life.

The only people who consider us a laughing stock are the die-hard former football criminals who hanker back to the good old days ( which were crap and scary for most of us who were there in the 70-90s).

I think perhaps we should close this board down and stay at home on a Saturday afternoon or go shopping with the missus.

I, for one, will be cheering on my team, in whatever colour they are playing in, in whatever league they are playing in, and whatever they are called.

The rest of the moaners should put their money where their mouth is and go off to form the FC Bluebirds of Cardiff :!:

The thing is our Club is being run like a Circus from top to bottom and there really isn't anything nice to say about any of them. At the top you have the ringmaster Tan going down to the Clown of our CEOs. Malky was the smiling Clown but he was or looked flawed. Olly is the new Clown but he ain't never put on a red nose in his life and he is lost in the gaze of some massive headlights. And our Fans fill the big top of a stadium ready to gasp at the latest acts. Sad really.

Were you there with the loyal hundreds?

Spot on Paul, thats us welcoming TG and before Tans days and even if it was welcoming Tan which I never have, NO one knew what lay ahead, did you?

It's a horrible feeling. I've been an exile since 1989 and most seasons I've done at least 10 homes and 2 or 3 aways. I've bought my kids replica shirts and spent thousands following the city.

All I want is to see our club playing home games in blue. If the change does not occur I can see myself giving up.
