Well said Steve my sentiments exactly, I have been thinking of a way to reply to Annis's post without being too critical and hijacking this post to a argument to red or blue, hate Tan or Tan out, I do not know if Tan is going to run our club to please all the fans, but I do know one thing it is not in his nature to walk away from failure, and he will do what ever it takes to make it a success, I believe he knows he has made mistakes, and I also believe he will do his best to put them right, we may not agree with all his reasons or decisions but that's life, we can't always get what we want, maybe things will change in the near future, maybe it will have to be in the long term, Christ in all my years of watching the City I have seen some shit come out of the board room and on the pitch, both from managers and players.
Let's give the guy some slack and let him run the club in the correct financial manner, it can only work for the club in the end and for us if he is successful, so what's he done changed the colour of our club, it is still Cardiff City, we still sing and call them the Bluebirds, and please don't some of you say " but that's just only the start of it" because how do we know until it happens, we have had more broken promises from board chairmen then Tan has ever made, if and when he does turn debt to equity, which I believe he will have to do sooner or later because it is in not only his but our interests as well, the moaners will go back into the back ground, except for a few who will never let go, because they would never admit that he has out flanked them, believe me don't be surprised when he does, it'll take a period of time, but it will happen, because Tan won't except failure, it is not in his nature.

But isn`t the truth behind Simon Lim And Jenkins that Jenkins used Simon to push his own agenda forward.
And Jenkins was found out, both to be the leak and working double agendas within the club. He was also your main informant wasn't he Annis? He was given the choice to resign himself or get fired. Again, But if one can say what they are told, i should be able to do the same :ayatollah:

Lim was a weasel and you could clearly see he had no guts to stand up to Tan! he was at the centre of the Malky sacking and was partly to blame for ruining our season... we can't get no worse than Lim, so him going and a replacment being found can only be seen as a good thing!

Just my strong opinion, Simon Lim, should never have got the job in the first place, clueless regarding running of a football club.
He should of been removed last Sept/Oct/Nov. I do applaud his removal, but why so late?

Good to have new people on board with good CV's but, but I just hope Tan then finally listens to them and they are not just more puppets :thumbright: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf:

Jesus annis you need to get a grip your hatred of tan is driving you to distraction. As Wez said the new guy has a cracking cv and we both know simon lim wasent worth a cup of cold piss and you were blaming him for signing off malkys piss poor signings.
You moan about the debt and here is a man who is obviously going to make sure that last summers shenanigans don't happen again.
I see nothing but good in lim going from the club.

Steve and because of Tan, youve given up supporting Cardiff City, True or not?

I agree Lim was pathetic, but this was last year when we all saw that staring us in the face.

Ive just said, his CV is good, but will Tan listen and u even say Steve, Tan listens to no one?

The thing I hate more than ever annis is the constant bickering between fans over tan, Malky colour etc. I also get sickened by the way the fans have behaved over the rebrand and in particular I was looking back at the Brighton red scarf game and I see the whole ground including the majority of your section decked out in red and now because the club were struggling and looking like getting relegated they are all holding blue scarfs aloft in protest.
I believe tan has realised his mistakes from last year and is putting the wheels in motion to reduce the debt as far as possible by putting a more professional team in place.
I believe and hope that he intends to get us straight back to the premiership at the first attempt so that we become a saleable football club to potential buyers.
I believe he won't consider himself to have succeeded until we are back in the premier and survive that first season. Only then will he realistically look at selling us.
Until that time the protests will continue close friends will continue to argue about the rebrand and I'm sick to death of it.
This board which was such a good football board has degenerated into what seems a one man crusade to drive tan out without the slightest clue of what would happen to the club if he left tomorrow.
He now has to be left to put right the mistakes he made last year but I don't believe reversing the rebrand will be considered by him.

CLUB STATEMENT: SENIOR MANAGEMENT CHANGES AT CARDIFF CITY

PUBLISHED
17:15 9th June 2014

Cardiff City Football Club can confirm that chief executive Simon Lim has stepped down from his role on Monday 9 June 2014.

Executive Chairman Mehmet Dalman, who will assume chief executive responsibilities at this time said, “On behalf of the board of directors and all at Cardiff City I would like to place on record my thanks and appreciation to Simon for his valued contribution over the last eighteen months.

“Following his appointment in 2012 Simon worked closely with the board, leading the management team and staff during a period of transformation at the club. He leaves with our sincere best wishes and gratitude.”

On tendering his resignation Simon said, “It’s with great pride that I held the office at Cardiff City, but feel now is the right time to move on, allowing the club time to make adjustments over the summer before another important season.

“I'm honoured to have represented the club during our historic promotion winning year and very much hope to once again see Cardiff City in the Premier League at the earliest opportunity. I am indebted to Tan Sri Vincent Tan and the board for giving me the opportunity and would like to thank the hard working and dedicated staff at the club for supporting me during my time in South Wales. I wish them and all associated with the club every future success.”

The club can also confirm the appointment of Ken Choo, who joins the club in the role of general manager.

A Bachelor of Commerce and a member of the Australian CPA, Ken is also a Chartered Accountant with the Malaysian Institute of Accountants and an Associate Member of the Tax Institute of Malaysia.

Having served as a Senior Auditor for PricewaterhouseCoopers in Malaysia, Ken has extensive management experience in the corporate business sector, including his most recent position as General Manager at Berjaya Hotels and Resorts in London.

Also it seems being a CEO under Tan means your job is def not safe in the last 2 years Gethin Jenkins,Allan Whitley,Simon Lim and now a new executive committee, Sorry but Ive just got to laugh, its just the seems the circus goes on and on under this present regime.
No doubt the Tan lovers will say its all for the good of Cardiff City, which is what they say whatever Tan does.

I agree the new staff look good on paper and have a good CV, if you pay enough money you will get the right people, but then it only works if Tan bothers to listen to them, thats the big question?

Jesus annis you need to get a grip your hatred of tan is driving you to distraction. As Wez said the new guy has a cracking cv and we both know simon lim wasent worth a cup of cold piss and you were blaming him for signing off malkys piss poor signings.
You moan about the debt and here is a man who is obviously going to make sure that last summers shenanigans don't happen again.
I see nothing but good in lim going from the club.

Totally agree with you Steve ,seems like some people just hate Cardiff city

Wez, hate Cardiff City your pathetic, uve worshipped Tan and the Red, that to me is a person who hates Cardiff City.

Ask Steve, Why he has stopped supporting Cardiff City?

The answer is, Vincent Tan.

Annis you know as well as anybody that Wez loves Cardiff City, with comments like you have above tells me we will never be united :(

Just read what Wez said about me and Cardiff City first, I would never slag another fan down first

This news today could be massive. It depends on one major factor in my opinion:

Mr. Choo has huge talent and experience in the world of corporate finance and an international reputation, BUT>>>

The acid test is whether this acumen can be married to the way football works. Sound business judgement has to take into account culture, support and future success. Unfortunately, it isn't as easy to predict the performance of a team as is is to forecast the stock exchange.

If Choo has any sense he will point Tan in the direction of returning to BLUE to bolster the immediate support of the "walkers" set to desert us after we were relegated. Only then can Tan hope to regain some credibility as a leader and I'm sure the fan base would respect such a u-turn.

Choo has a pedigree worthy of rescuing our club, but will he be brave enough to speak out and will Tan listen???

Watch this space..............?
