Very good question

Because he obviously wasn't match fit after spending 5months+ without any first team football because Malky decided never to use him. Never going to be fit enough for first team Prem action is he? Come on mun.
Still fit enough to make an instant impact for Sheffield United, be one of their star players, help them get to a cup semi final and get all their fans to talk about growing their own beards in honour of him.
Smell the coffee mate, he wasn't fit enough for the prem because he fell out with Malky and didn't get any game time, not that hard to take on board. Ole put him out on loan to give him game time

But the instant impact Brayford made for Sheffield United showed he was match fit and didn't need any game time at all. If you watched him play for them and watched the reactions of what their fans thought, you will have to be honest and admit that's a fact to rubbish your assumption I'm afraid.

Match fitness is match fitness, whatever the standard. Brayford's second game for them was against Premiership Fulham wasn't it not? Brayford had a stormer relentless running up and down the right, showing he was definitely match fit.

Fulham
13 Stockdale
46 Passley
35 Amorebieta Booked
28 Parker (Sidwell - 69' Booked )
05 Hangeland
33 Burn
08 Kasami
43 Tankovic
20 Rodallega (Dejagah - 59' )
32 Dempsey
11 Kacaniklic (Duff - 59' )
Substitutes
01 Stekelenburg
07 Sidwell
14 Karagounis
16 Duff
24 Dejagah
30 David
37 Christensen
That squad doesn't look all youngsters to me. That's totally irrelevant anyway. The fact is Brayford played the full 120 plus minutes that game on February 4th, had a blinder and was match fit.
So now I have proven he was match fit and could have offered us something, why was he not played by Malky and immediately loaned out by Ole?

Not match fit for the prem the pace of the two leagues are not the same, he would of been on his ar se in the prem can't you see that

There is a difference between a player being too slow for the Premiership (Hudson for example) to a player not being match fit at all. Also, there are quicker players who can cover more ground in the lower leagues, but they play at that level because they have less quality on the ball. Willie Boland would get a higher score in a bleep test to Tugay (the ex Blackburn midfielder) for example. Let's just leave it there.

Our defence could be...
Left Back - Fabio/John
Centre Back - Hudson/Turner/Cala
Right Back - McNaughton/Brayford
I don't understand why lots of people want Connolly offloaded. Connolly was one of our best players in the Championship and his versatility is vital. He's also an experienced, solid defender who has been there and done it with ourselves, QPR and Reading. Connolly knows the division inside out and knows how to succeed in the Championship. He is also the type of character you need in a club wanting to get promoted out of the Championship. I'm not bothered one bit if he isn't as able to go on overlapping runs and put crosses over. To keep clean sheets and get wins, your full backs need to be defensively solid and at Championship level, you'll struggle to find a battle hardened centre back/right back as defensively solid as Connolly.

Whilst we're talking about defenders and chances, wtf happened to Maximiliano Amondarain?
Yet another quality Milky signing.
