Barry, it's not about free speech. Its about a deliberate misinterpretation of an innocent article in order to rile people against Tan.
How many times have we been told this board just reports what is in the media? This isn't just reporting what's in the media, its twisting it, much like the Andrew Taylor 'given away for nothing' thread. Its about the inference.
