A player that was bought for 2 million is being sold for half a million less, next year he could go for nothing.

I can guarantee if that happend you'd all be crying about him leaving for free. So the clubs in a lose lose situation really.

I wouldn't be disappointed if he leaves, he's injured a lot goes missing a lot too.

Could be totally misguided and a swing in the dark but for the past week or so Mutch's twitter photo was him playing Sunderland with Cattermole in the background. Just looked now and he's changed it to him playing v Liverpool

Sunderland have agreed a £1.5million deal for Cardiff midfielder Jordon Mutch, 22.
Mutch was Cardiff's top goalscorer last season and was not keen to drop back down to the Championship.
The club are looking to wrap up many deals early on, with Billy Jones and Jordi Gomez already signed.

i'll just post on here, back to mutch news, he will stay, he is not going anywhere this month, if he does go, he'll leave for around 3.5m to someone like burnley/stoke, he is not going to sunderland after they got gomez, got far too much quality in midfield

not a tan embarrassment ffs how in anyway is it his, he doesn't offer contracts, moody and malky were the men who offered the terms when he came here, if malky liked him that mutch he should have extended his contract, bit of ole's fault not tying him down but only been here 5 mins so can't persuade mutch to sign his long term future when he barely knows him

If you all think he's worth 3.5 million with one year left on his contract I don't know what you'd be expecting if he'd had three years on it.

don't know why people are surprised if he is in the last year of his contract also with the fact that he is injury prone this is the sort of price he will be going for if he had a few years on his contract and he wasn't injury prone he would go for 3mil+ he can't finish a season without getting a injury so of course his value decreases

I honestly dont know, do you? but so far he has been like a madman whilst being involved with City, nothing surprises me regarding Tan.

Just goes to show Malky may not have been solely to blame for our crazy transfer policy! Why do we continually overspend on crap and then give away our best players? No wonder we are over £100m in debt!!

The boy was bought for 2m if I remember correctly. This can't be true. Surely it's a typo and it's 15 rather than 1.5

If this happens I will feel sick! Mutch is a future England international! I would rather keep him for another season and lose him for nothing if we fail to go up than take 1.5 million for him. We need to hold onto Mutch if we are to have any chance getting back to the Premiership!

Jordan Mutch, Marshall aside was probably our best player last term.
Scored 7 goals and his drive and determination was key in many of the few points that we did collect.

He will not fit into Ole's style of play and his ability to slot in goals from midfield suggests he was more inclined to be going forward than tracking back.

I'm not shocked by £1.5million. It may be the bottom end of his worth with his current contract but the top end would only be about £2 to £2.5million.

May be add ons or sell ons.

Exactly, but this can be used as more anti tan bullshit so that's why it's getting blown out of proportion.
