In all fairness, if it's other fans voting then Cardiff wouldn't stand a chance at finishing high in the table, even if we did have the best atmosphere. Nobody likes us, so nobody would feel comfortable voting for us. Other fans don't mind voting for you because you're a nothing club. Palace should have come out at top easily, but they are not the most likeable club so therefore lost a lot of votes. A very inaccurate poll in other words.

This poll on how good the Liberty atmosphere is compared to other grounds is about as useful and scientific as the queue of city fans lining up to say its a library dispite never having been there. If you haven't been then you have no real grasp of what its like there because radio and TV have different sounds, levels and mics so that you can hear whats being said. We can only gauge what its like compared to our experiences and then collectively reach some kind of moronic consensus. That general consensus stands that Stoke and Palace have the best atmospheres in the Prem and the jacks are closer to the top rather than the bottom. If you don't have any data displaying who voted then its as good as useless.

Leaving the rivalry and the spite aside, try and evaluate how good you actually think a clubs atmosphere can be and what it takes to form an informed opinion.

Going on my away day travels has led me to believe that we actually have a pretty good atmosphere in the Liberty compared to where ive been in the Prem. Fulham, Arsenal, Wigan, Bolton were all graveyards, Everton and Villa only sang when they scored but were otherwise fairly quiet, WBA, Southampton, Reading and QPR were ok, and Liverpool were pretty good. Those are my experiences and they are relative. It doesn't mean that any of those clubs are constantly quiet or singing but it adds to the general opinion of what you can expect.

I'd say that anyone who accuses the Liberty of being like a library is being nothing but spiteful because of what I can compare it to and which way inclined that person usually is ;)
I've never been to a South Wales Derby away but your lot sounded great at Ninian, much like us at the Vetch, and have sounded good on TV when you beat Man City and drew with UTD. However you have also sounded dead on those occasions where you collapsed at home but I still don't think I'm qualified or experienced enough to sufficiently say what its like at your home games because IVE NEVER BEEN!

Comparing atmospheres is like comparing attendance figures in that its completely pointless because football is a game that involves 22 men kicking a ball rather than how many people are watching it and how loud they are being during a game. Atmospheres help a home side establish a home fortress mentality and it can spur on a player but if you abstract that concept away from the game itself to compare it with something else then you're left with a few thousand or so men shouting at some grass for no reason and if you think thats worth comparing then you're a chimp.

You did indeed but not for each sentence you posted therefore your last statement " A very inaccurate poll in other words " without "if" means you believe that it was very inaccurate , would you agree :D

I went to an handful of home games last season. Man city was an awesome atmosphere, united and everton was also very good and swansea sounded pretty good on TV. I doubt there is a ground in the country which is rocking every game and a swans fan told me that the liberty only good aatmosphere last season was against cardiff.

Ok IF it was other clubs fans voting then the poll is very inaccurate. Which I believe is the case, because Palace should be top without a doubt, but I hate Palace so I wouldn't have voted them. See my point?

Fans of clubs voted on who had the best atmosphere.
It aint rocket science
And the lib had more votes with fans on that site.
All clubs were in there and could have received votes.
But we had the most.
But as cardiff fans u try so desperate to worm your way out of admitting to it.
The cardiff way I gess.
After all your the biggest club with the most fans who are more welsh then anyone els and have the badest most noisy fans ever to walk the earth.
Ps your not red by the way its all a myth and u didnt get relegated as the bottom club.
How could u as u are cardiff. :laughing6:

Now I'm confused ,you're saying if or hypothetically that the fans from other clubs did vote but because they did, the poll becomes very inaccurate because in your opinion Palace should be top but you won't have voted for them because you hate them therefore by not voting you enabled Swansea to win the Poll by 1 vote , perhaps you should have voted

Palace have the best atmosphere but I'd rather vote Fulham because I don't want to give Palace the satisfaction of a vote(as an example). If your still confused, there's no hope.

Got to agree with most of that to be honest. Other than an handful of games the atmosphere matched the general mood for most of the season utter shit. So if there was a table with a true representation with any credibility I would still expect us to be down the bottom. I have heard you on the radio and there have been times where you do sound quite loud and obviously other times where it's quiet no different to most grounds. Library no way but find it hard to believe that the best atmosphere is at the liberty. Would have to agree with most posts that palace would be up the top and Liverpool always sound loud even if it's the same 3 or 4 songs all the time. Can only hope the atmosphere picks up next year because this was part of the match day attraction which seems to be getting worse each year.
