Thought he did well. Shame it will always be remembered for his unfortunate remark about 4 ugly girls.

Exactly, people are quick to bash him but he makes some very good points, specially about UKIP. It was a really stupid analogy but he was correct.

Was the sort of remark you would use to describe it to mates in a pub.. Sadly not in QT. Like I said, thought he did well overall though.

Queens Park Rangers midfielder Joey Barton was left red-faced when he likened the choice for the UK electorate in last week's EU elections to that of "four really ugly girls".
The comments were made during Thursday night’s edition of Question Time, where Barton was a panellist. The misfired metaphor was the 31-year-old’s way of lambasting the deficit of credible options available to voters - of which he attributes to Ukip's ‘protest vote’ victory.
Arguing with Louise Bours, Ukip MEP and fellow panellist on the show, Barton said: ‘All you represent as Ukip is the best of a bad bunch. If there was four really ugly girls, I'm thinking she's not the worst - that's all you are.’
The audience groaned, with some condemning Barton over the sexist comment a number of times, while one said: ‘You're going to get buried for that on Twitter.’ Acknowledging his slip-up, the former Manchester City midfielder responded by apologising on air shortly after, blaming the blunder on nerves.
‘Maybe I was a little nervous,’ he said. ‘My brains are in my feet.’
Despite the faux pas, Barton recovered during the remainder of the show and his contributions, despite the initial jeering, were well received by the audience.

"It was a really stupid analogy but he was correct" Is that logical?
Joey's analogy was spot on. Men think like he does, especially after a few beers which was the silent part of his analogy. It was perhaps inappropriate, which in itself is more reason to repeat it! If he had a PhD it would be put down to eccentricity.
Who did he offend? No one!! Most people found it funny, look at the folks in the audience laughing. They felt uncomfortable but no one was offended. All he did was break a "PC rule".
Britain is polluted by PC.

I agree it was a typically "Man like" thing to say but it was a sexist remark either way. Yes very pc and I think people took it too seriously but it is sexist. As I said he was spot on and even though it was a stupid analogy it was right.
Edit: the problem is people are more concerned by that remark rather than the point behind it

Just watched it again, bang on the money Chuckles.
He got caught up in his honest opinion which he would tell someone, almost like he forgot this was television.. needed to word it a little bit differently but to judge every footballer on his opinion was just damn right ignorance.
