Yeah but £1 million is far far too cheap should at least be getting £4-5 million for him

5m  Some people are on a different planet. Campbell is an OK Championship striker, I doubt he'd get 20 goals in the Champ considering his finishing is so poor. I'd ask Leicester to up their bid by another million or so.

Thought Leicester had £180,000,000 (£180m) to spend.. They bid £3m for Ulloa which was turned down. Seems they are trying to buy quality championship players on the cheap.

The fact he scored 7 goals in 12 games in the Championship and was our best outfield player last season. Campbell ran his guts out for us every game isolated up front on his own against 4 defenders in a struggling team. Campbell's contribution to our team was massive and if you can't see that and you can't understand why Campbell should command such a high fee, then you don't understand football.

Our best outfield player in a poor season, work ethic doesn't represent a massive increase. He wasn't on his own either he had support. Mutch provided him with some killer balls and failed to latch onto them. I do understand football but 5m is heavily overpriced for such a top half Champ striker, he's not proven in the Prem

He may not have been prolific last season, but he had no consistency around him, he played in various changing systems, a lot of the time up front on his own, even out on the wing?
I would love us to keep him for next season, if he does go? I'd say we could get 2-2.5 m?
Anybody remember early last season after beating Man City and the pundits suggesting Frazer for England............."he'll always score goals", especially if he stays with us in the Championship!

This.

Why would we sell for £1m - we could never replace this sort of striker for less than £4m and unless Leicester will pay that then keep him - it's a 'no brainer'?!

I agree with this.
We will need more than the 32 yr old Spaniard who looks good but is always going to be a big gamble from the sun of Spain to the hurly burly of the Championship.
I would let Maynard go before Campbell & only then if we bring in Grabbon.
We'll need 4 strikers minimum.

Jordon Mutch was our only hope last season with penetrating the opposition from deep. Campbell's goals home to Man Utd and Sunderland with Mutch's assists are examples of Campbell's ability to finish once he gets provided with decent service. Unfortunately, we drastically lost our way during the second half of the season, so Mutch's impact declined and Campbell was left further starved of service.

If Leicester consider him good enough to play in the Premier league, then surely he must be worth more than £1m. That's not much money for a reasonable striker, and I would think that anyone capable of playing in the top division would have to be worth over £1m in this day and age.

Agree....his touch often lets him down but he will have more time in the Championship and will score a fair few. Personally, I would hold on to him.

In what way is asking £4-5 million off a club who have just been promoted to the premier league living on a different planet? The fact is Campbell is a decent player who could do a good job for us in the Championship if we keep him and Leicester being a club that have just earned themselves over £100 million for being promoted could now easily afford to pay in the region of £4-5 million for him and in my opinion are being insulting to us with a paltry bid of just £1 million.

It's not about being able to afford it, it is about whether he is worth it, which he isn't. You do not pay 5m for an unproven striker in the Premier League. Campbell is worth around 2m at best.

If Grabban is £3m, Campbell is worth more than £1m. Simples!

Considering what Joe Ledley, Ross McCormack, & Rudy Gestede went for, then that's progress.

Let Frazier Cambell go for 1 million. Are people forgetting we bought him for less than 1 million from a premier club? xxx

A premier club who he hardly played for & who didn't want to keep him. On the other hand he was involved in a large percentage of our games last season and we want to keep him, allegedly?

Makes no difference. If he was in Premier squad that means he was a good enough player but maybe not first choice striker at Sunderland. The truth is that yes he had opportunities to shine for Cardiff and yes he worked hard and got some goals but not enough considering how many games he played. He scored a good handful of goals but at the end of the day his offense was not enough to keep us up therefore 1 million is correct valuation. I don't know if hull are still wanting him but I guarantee you that he will be backup - backup striker for Hull as they would never favor Frazier over the likes of Long or Jelavic. Now how much is a club like that gonna play for a third choice striker? £1 MILLION TOPS XXX[/size]
