To be fare. The Polish in our area are trying to intergrate. Two kids born recently around here are named Arthur and George. Its the Muslims who dont want to intergrate as far as i can see.

I agree with this

The Polish are causing trouble left, right and centre in Merthyr. Got some decent folk but in the main they have been nothing but trouble.

The portugese were ok when they come over, they made an effort to intergrate but the Poles chased them out of town when they come over.
it's a good job they were here for the battle of Britain though or we could all be speaking a foreign language

I think Merthyr had enough problems with their own years ago. From what I remember they were welsh and lived on the Gurnos.

Oh the irony. Getting your knickers in a tizz over the stereotyping of immigrants and then you go and do the same about the people from the Gurnos.

The whole country has got its own problems without its open door policy to some of eastern europes biggest deadbeats.

If people really think that an open door policy is a good thing then you are one of few who hasn't been having problems getting a doctors appointment, get on the social housing list, getting a place for your child in the local school as well as many other things, such as tory cuts

Makes me laugh.Next stop BNP for you.You seem to forget the irish actually built cardiff and if you live in the valleys and can trace your descendants back more than 100yrs you'll almost certainly find that your ancestors were english anyway.

And many descendants came from North & mid Wales seeking work.

It's "weren't" perhaps you should join our Romanian brothers in English classes. It might enlighten you in several ways.

I don't think you even know what left wing means. I'll give you 5 minutes to google it.

Bluebirdsince48 - To be honest I do think there should be. However, in the UK there is a problem. If the UK take it upon themselves to hang onto the coat tails of the U.S. as the world's policeman there comes a price.

If you are going to take responsibility for shooting up Afghanistan, Iraq etc. then you have to take responsibility for refugees when it goes tits up. Same thing happened with the commonwealth.

As for Eastern Europeans......we know what you mean, it's the Roma. OK you have got the mafia type gangs but thats another issue. I think many are over highlighting. The idiots like "military Junta" (His name gives his politics away) use race to gain political support.

My biggest argument is that UKIP are mainly a bunch of failed Tories. Wannabe political careerists. Do you actually believe they will carry out their policies? They would be marginalised, and quite rightly so.

I don't even believe in the EU, I believed in the trade etc but as a quazi Federal state certainly not. I am anti right- wing be it EU or Domestic.

It's what got to me when you mentioned wishy washy Liberal. The Liberal way is "I agree with you.....but."

Im left wing and Im proud of it. I dont believe targeting a few immigrants is the answer. Its those bastards at the top Id go for.
