I imagine that SL69 thinks that white wine is actually coloured white and often ends up just buying some milk.

Thunderbird red label, though it's not a red wine, potent stuff.

Barolo Pio Cesare

I enjoy a nice Barolo also, but the price of the Pio Cesare is double that of the Pesquera Crianza, yet the Pesquera is often rated higher. I only drink Barolo's that I bought in bond when it was much cheaper or when on holiday in Italy, where even with Restaurant mark up they are still cheaper than a wine shop in the UK. Even in Monaco about 10 years ago I had a Barolo for £32 in a restaurant which was £55 in the UK. I only drink about 1 bottle per month, quality rather than quantity.

Gone are the 3 for a tender days sadly. Asda do a few decent ones at 4.quid. Currently guzzling a Jacobs creek red that was given to me. Once that's gone ive got a 4 quid bottle of tesco merlot.
