At the moment, thats blue.

While I can't argue with the pic' you posted Roathie, it is a disgusting sight and a sheer embarrassment on our behalf but that tide has certainly swang the Blue way eh?!

Absolutely, but its a fashion trend and a movement.

People dont feel they can wear red now. If given the choice of blue or tans money then im absolutely certain tans money would be chosen because your fans feel they need "success" to live up to their bravado. Sams disease i have called it in the past.

I disagree with you on that one.

Everyone in the ground that took a scarf that night should be deeply ashamed but the need for T*ns money is at an all time low with the majority of the Fans. My opinion of course

If only we were run like your Club, pains me to say it but it's true

If you were run like us the south welsh football would be a force to be reckoned with. As i was saying the other day, we will be sticking away £25m a year. In 10 years time that is a quarter of a billion we can spend, thats huge.

Your current regime and ethos doesnt work, its not even boom or bust, its boom and bust. It saddens me when people look to the future and say such things as "we need an even richer billionaire" :?

Built your foundations on debt and ideas above your means and then situations like this rebrand and debt to equity and winding up orders will always always always be here. If its not tan then it will be someone else.

You need to wrestle your club back as a fanbase, pretty 60 second shows aside - there has been nowhere near enough.

I know, shame we haven't gone into administration TWICE so you removed all of your debts. What an honourable well run club the Jacks are.

Re: Blue or Red

Firstly, we havent been into administration twice.

Secondly nobody at Swansea city had anything to do with the mismanagement of the club leading to administration. A football club cannot rack up debts, only people can do that in the clubs name.

Thankfully for over a decade we have been one of the, if not THE, best run club in British football.

Next.

Fair Point Roath.. but that was 2 years ago when maybe there was room for compromise and it was only a way of keeping the bluebird and with any luck getting rid of that hideous clipart badge that they insist on using!

But you are right and i will change it later when i remove the dragon.

But believe me.. its blue blood running through these veins.. maybe the only reason they didnt use my badge was because i was against it being all red with no blue band.

That was 2 years ago when hope was high of catching up with the JB and Tan taking away your debt. Red was fine then see for the majority no doubt about that. But then the dream turned into another carcrash FC nightmare and now red is evil. The vast majority of Carcrash fans are spineless sell outs.

Come on paul you have more sense than that.

Re: Blue or Red

Thu May 15, 2014 12:08 pm

Why are people making these polls? Everyone knows that 90% of our fanbase are blue.

Re: Blue or Red

Thu May 15, 2014 12:11 pm

Because not everyone "knows" clearly.

im sure some Cardiff fans are picking red, and like i said i'd quite like to hear their side of things.. but we probably have 10-12 regular jacks/newport on here, and most of them would vote red of course.

All happened to log on within the last 2 hours, all clicked on this thread and all cast their vote?

Come on.

To keep saying everyone who votes red os a jack is just pure denial, what is the point in creating a poll here if you are going to disregard the results anyway?

Your fanbase allowed this to happen, im amazed that you are so shocked that many stand by that.

i am shocked yeah. and as for all the Red votes being from other fans, like i said, im sure there are some Cardiff fans who voted red and personally id like to hear from them.

the whole "allowing" it to happen thing, ive never bought into that, yeah i guess some were "happy" to accept that it was what needed to be done to "save the club" even though things are now worse than ever, i also think its a lot easier to get your voices heard when averaging 5,000 die hard fans, such as yourself with Mr Petty, than at a bigger club. Man United have made their voices well heard since the Glaziers took over but to no avail.

I genuinely dont believe there is any Cardiff fan who would choose red over blue, unless the obvious caveat was that the club would no longer exist without Tan in charge

Those who don't must not go to our matches then. It's never been so clear. I would understand if there was a poll this time last season because to be a fair quite a lot of people wore red, but that's all changed now.

It wasnt a case of getting your voices heard Paul. He heard them, he backed down. He released a statement saying the rebrand would not go ahead.

Your fams then used the media and other interactive resources to get the message to Tan to go ahead with it.

Its a vastly differing situation to any other where the fans actually asked for it.

is that well documented? ill admit to having my head in the clouds around that time, but i thought Tan initially backed down due to the fuss that was kicked up, but then just did it anyway, i thought the bone of contention with people on here was that he lied to calm the fans down before sticking us with it and giving him no choice?

i cant remember reading that fans were asking for the change to red

Very well documented.

http://www.thefreelibrary.com/MALAYSIAN ... 0289399322

Everyone from Annis to Gwyn to Corky all wrote pieces starting "Dear Mr Tan"... After he pulled out of the rebranding.

All recorded in the library there.

Reading some of that is a bit cringy-worthy, some of the comments are naive in the extreme but i suppose its easier to say that with hindsight.

good quote from vince alm here...

My opinion on the matter was to accept the change for the future stability of the club, even though I am vehemently against it, and lobby in a peaceful and civil manner over the coming years to have it changed back.

It is a vile read. Really is.

But the fact is at the time of writing you were blue and had a future of blue as stated by Tan - those grovelling letters were penned in order for him to change you to red so you could get the cash... And it worked.
