If these are then out of the question, Lewis Grabban stand out as the most scoring striker. If Lewis Grabban is a gamble, what would be the alternative? Have we seen a proven goal getter in PL who Cardiff could lay there hands on, realistically? Building from talent is the key to success for Cardiff, hoping now this is the man. The big bonus as mention earlier is that he can play wing, giving us depth when injury.

We really need a goal scoring Stiker, I have missed one the lady few years, fingers crossed he's good enough.![]()
You never know if a player will succeed but imo Grabban seems like a great player for our squad.
Since 2011 he has 127 games and 57 goals. 22 goals in Championship this season for a newly promoted team shows that he knows where the goal is.
My best mate is from Bournemouth and this is how he sees Grabban as a player:
Positives: Very strong with the ball at his feet. Very good finisher and draws alot of attention from the defenders with his positioning at the last defender.
Negatives: Runs in offside alot. Rarely seen at the wrong side of the pitch if you want a striker who works defensively.
He says the negative sides of Grabban can be up for discussion. Grabban is usually found side by side with the last defender. As close to the goal as possible.
AS he says, some fans dont like the fact that Grabban seems lazy at times but he believes that if he was to spend his time chasing the ball towards his own goal he would never scored 22 goals because many of his goals comes from inteceptions and then he is always there infront of the box.
I like it, i prefer strikers who are on the pitch to score. I believe that Campbell would scored much more goals if he had just been at the last defender. Too many times this season the ball came and he weren`t even close at getting to it because he was on his way up from defence.

thats been our problem previously though... i dont want to spend 3 million on a main man up front and play him on the wing! personally i dont think 1 good season proves anything too much, though he obviously has something about him. As ive mentioned before on here, i wanted Deeney (would have cost a few million more i suppose though but hes scored regulat goals in this divison for 3 seasons now, and especially in the last two, where his record has been great.

Personally I would rather see them spend £5m on Jordan Rhodes (if he's not already signed elsewhere) and spend another £250,000 on someone like Lewis Grabban (Rotherham).
