Just checked and it only went into production in September, and will stay in production until 2016. I'll ring my kit supplier in the morning who do my local team to find out but it's coming up new on every website at the moment. :bluescarf:

Great idea. I'd buy one. Not sure if they would want to rock the boat so blatantly if one of the members are going to actively be on the board. I guess that's up to them to decide!

can we NOT have "visit malaysia" anywhere near ANY of these produced kits please?

At least change malaysia to VIST CARDIFF or VISIT WALES instead?!!!

Great idea. Would love to see three or four different designs for us to vote on before production, 2 of them being retro style, two being more modern. That way we could reduce the number of people trying to come up with alternatives. Great idea have the Echo on the front too. Would be great to get them promoting it as anything to help boost sales would be welcome. This could be the start of a whole range of commercial opportunities for the CCST which could help to cushion the blow of potential future financial troubles. Can't wait to buy one if it does come off! :bluescarf:

The trust don't no what day it is,don't expect anything from them and the echo well their a shower of......, and you want their name on some fictitious shirt.Your all living in cloud cuckoo land.Terrible idea, someone might make a few shirts to line their own pockets but that's as far as it'll go.

Sounds good. I'd order one and wear it with pride around Edinburgh!

Would 100% be up for buying one of these. Really hope it gets sorted before the club produce their mockery.
Needs a small splash of yellow in there though IMO!

Agreed, I've always like the yellow on our blue kits, made us more unique :ayatollah:

People would want them for holidays etc when our club is twiddling its fingers.

This is the key if it happens. Get it out first!

I like that design but I'd say that the blue bird needs to be blue. Apart from that ...this should definitely happen! :bluescarf:

A fantastic idea.

Let's make sure it is done right. I don't mean the design as there are a few on here who have a handle on that.

Make sure that when this happens anyone interviewed is aware of the statement being made. Only talk about our blue legacy and our want for it to return. Don't make it a slanging match, about division or slandering the board.

Get Ty Hafan on the front and send them a percentage of the profits. I know we are looking to fund the supporters club but let's show we are not parochial. The football is important to us but if you want the public onside show we see that certain issues are more important. I know its not why it is being done but the press will love it.

Retail is VERY important. The shirt needs to be in the public eye and not just available online from CCST. As far as I know large companies like Tesco and Asda have no affiliation with the club and they are currently showcasing local products. I know they will want a slice but the advertising in store alone will be worth it.

I never thought I'd ever say it but we need PR just as much as a good idea.

Has anyone from the CCST commented on this?

If here, the trust website, CCMB and the Echo are promoting it, you are reaching the majority of those it needs to reach and word if mouth and such should take it from there.

Here, CCMB and the Trust site account for a tiny amount of the fans let alone the South Wales public.

The Echo is a dated news source.

If we are only looking to reach the majority of those it needs to then it will be just another minimal effort attempt.

We need to be reaching ALL of the support base and part of the public who THOUGHT they had no interest.

Very early signs are encouraging. Had some positive contact with both CCST and the Echo today. Still lots of things to be sorted and, of course, lots of potential stumbling blocks but so far, so good.

The PR and how it's executed is the key.

I meant as a starting point, although I think you under estimate the usefulness of the Echo being involved. But yeah we need to get this as wide as possible! :ayatollah:

There's been lots of activity taking place behind the scenes to try and make this become a reality. I don't want to over promise and then undeliver as it's still at the embryonic stage but so far so good...
