I love the fact that Tan says that fans should judge him with their brain not their heart and yet decides to change our colour because one is luckier than the other and a dragon(mythical) could easily kill a bluebird in a fight :laughing5: you couldn't make it up

Hes hinting at a return to blue and allowing a fan onto the board, im happy with this man as owner, other than not changing the badge he has kept his word on most things and I see no reason to think this is a lie.

Great post mate

Some of you are gullible beyond belief. He's trying to get you back onside by telling you want you want to hear. If and when you ever make it back to the promised land he'll simply say "well, I've considered it, and I've decided maybe we'll just stay in red". He knows full well you lot will do absolutely nothing about it. Other than the usual bitching and whining on Internet forums obviously.

Why is he suddenly talking about a switch back, because he has seen the crowds with his own eyes and heard the songs, he has realised the fans mean it, and it's not going away.

I think he wants to do it but he may not want to lose face, or in his mind maybe look weak or bow to fan pressure ?

It's going to happen for sure, it's just a case of when and we need it this season for a Championship push, then if he wants to sell he can......

Reading some of the comments from Tan appologists on this thread makes me feel quite sick.

Look fools, if he was serious about a compromise he'd do it NOW! why wait until we're back with the big boys ??

He doesn't care about the club or its fans - it's all about money and his ego

TAN OUT!!!

So IF we get promoted, he will CONSIDER giving us a COMPROMISE!
We are certainly not getting our proper colours and badge back at all.
And we'll be £100 million in debt still.
Thanks very much Tan!!!

Thats because our supporters really haven't been using their noggins.

I said ages ago that you won't change Tans mind by calling him a wanker. He's to savvy and successful to back down under threat.

He says in his comments we should use our brain's. Unfortunately too many of us don't seem to have any. We recently played away in blue and everyone got really excited but what did we do.... we sang Vincent Tan you're a wanker during the match. If we'd really thought about it we could have changed the words and praised him at that stage.... Vincent Tan, Vincent Tan we all thank you.....

He will take us back, probably as soon as we start to show him a little respect.

A lot on the forum won't like that sentiment but for me that's the best (only) route.

Glad to see some of you can see without the red tinted glasses. It's plain to see that he's trying to pacify the gullible masses with whispers of a return to blue. Haven't you learned by now that you can't trust him as far as you can throw him? Jeez!

Where did I say he was a fan??

There lies the problem - he doesn't care about the club, its history/identity, its fan base or anything else.

It's all about making loads of money and raising his profile - something that is ironic as this last year has made him a world-wide figure of ridicule, sadly taking our club with him

Most businesses i know listen to their customers, in order to increase their profits & turnover. It's called customer satisfaction.

Mr Tan does the complete opposite.

Rick I agree with you, my point is that he's moved his stance slightly, which tells me in time he might come around to our way of thinking.

Yeah, we got the shitty end of the stick, promotions, cup finals, bumper transfer budgets, stadium expansion, and now an olive branch on the most and only seriously controversial decison he has made.

The point is though that it could be a tough season coming up, untried manager, lots of big clubs scrapping their hearts out. We have at the moment a divided club and fan base, which will become even worse with a poor start, should we end up mid table, with the price freeze over then many will walk away and Tan refusing to change the colour back just sticks two fingers up to the fans. Many supporters will think, we why should I bother? A return to blue would prevent a lot if that

Re: VINCENT TAN CONSIDERS RETURN TO BLUE.

Sun May 11, 2014 8:50 am

Hmmmmm, lots in that statement. Mainly jam tomorrow though. What Mr. Tan hasn't learned from the past disastrous year in the Premier League is that the foundations that success are built upon is unity. That is unity between the cub hierarchy its coaching staff its players but most of all its paying customers and supporters. We want jam now Mr Tan. I think its time you began dialogue in earnest with the fans and put it to a simple vote of season ticket holders asking the question, "do you want our colours to be blue with a reinstatement of a bluebird badge or do you want to remain red", it's as easy as that Mr Tan. Please please please talk to us Mr.Tan.

Then there's debt to equity!!! How can we take your word on any promise? You promised to turn all debt to equity and again you tell us jam tomorrow. Stick to your word Mr Tan and you will get the respect you deserve from the clubs fans.

Having a supporter to join the clubs board will be a positive step but that needs to be a supporter who truly represents all fans and not someone in it for their own agenda and the sooner you can do that Mr Tan the better.

I personally think that Mr. Tan is not in it for the long haul but to make any money on his investment he needs to get us back to the Premier League and therein lies your problem Mr Tan you wont achieve your objective without backing down and return our club to its rightful colours and traditional Bluebird identity.

As for Milkygate now here's a big can of worms and another divisive stick with which the fans are beating each other with. It's a shame it didn't go to court because then the truth would have come out however that would have took a long long time and would have divided the fanbase even further. My own personal feeling is that Milky and Moody will be breathing a huge sigh of relief that it's all over and they can get on with their own careers but mud sticks and I don't think Milkys career will ever be the same again not that I believe he was ever cut out to be a Premier League manager. He has a lot to learn to ever get the skill sets to be successful at that level. However Milky is now our past and that is where we should leave him - in the past. Everybody should get behind our current manager and give him every chance of success we can do that but by god Mr Tan that would be much easier if you returned us to our traditional blue with a bluebird badge.

Grasp the nettle Mr Tan and engage with your fans - that is all :ayatollah:

Re: VINCENT TAN CONSIDERS RETURN TO BLUE.

Never mind "upon a return to the PL" - he needs to do it now if he wants the fans to unite. Why wait another year (that's if we do bounce back)?

This is true.
My take on it is that he's just trying to appease the fans & with Championship football & a drop in attendances next season the blue & the protests will slowly die off.
Surely there's no logical reason if he's considering it why it couldn't be next season. He doesn't want to be seen to be backing down & losing face.

Re: VINCENT TAN CONSIDERS RETURN TO BLUE.

Sun May 11, 2014 9:12 am

I don't believe one word that he's said. The debt was supposed to be turned into shares once the Langstone loan notes issue had been rectified. That hasn't happened, now he's only willing to turn a third into equity. And he'll consider changing our colours back to blue if we get promoted, I'm honestly struggling to se that under OGS. We've gone through all this lip service before with Sam Hamman with the money issues. The club was 32 million in debt when Tan took control now he's saying 120 million? Surely the only way for him to get his money back is to turn that debt into equity. If he wants to unite the club by the start of next season, he needs to address the debt and the club colours and badge for the start of the new season.

I was waiting to get to the bottom to write exactly what this guy has written... I'm no fool at all and can see what tan is doing.. The minute we get back to the prem he will say " Why change??? It's lucky red!! ". Best he can do for me is change it back now or make a compromise now as a gesture to show he's willing to give us what we want!!
I know I'm just one man and I don't matter to tan, but Cardiff city has been ripped apart by Tan and I feel sick watching what he continues to do to the club..
