When will the expansion be finished? In time for the start of the Championship season? Or will it be like Wolves and ready for when you go down to League One? It is quite possible that you'll be going down again next season, after all.
It will be finished for the UEFA super cup in August. Fact
Great stuff. So as one of you lot initially said, he would find it funny if we were relegated with a 33k stadium. Looks like it's happening to you. Now who's stupid?
Um.. We were getting 20 plus in the championship where as you were getting an average of 13,000 in your promotion season. I think that's the fact he's trying to say.
Well situations change. Hopefully we will have made some real Swans fans over the past few years and expanded our fan base. Hence the need for an expansion to our ground. We are filling it every week so we must expand if we want to grow as a club. It's kind of ironic that he's making fun of SCFC for wanting to expand and claiming it to be hilarious if we get relegated with a 33k stadium when that's exactly what is happening to you. If we get relegated, I hope that by that point, we will have a larger stadium with a larger potential fan base. I'm not saying we'll fill the ground if we are in the Championship, you won't either as you don't now, but the aim will be to have a larger attendance than we had the last time we were in that league.

A CVA is pretty much an administration, transfer embargo, payments to companies owed. If anything I'd say it's worse as it's all on the clubs terms, not the businesses who are owed money. It's irrelevant what year it is, you claim to be this sensible well run club, but that wasn't always the case. You've benefited massively from old rules of no points deductions. This day and age, it could have been a different story.
I didn't say you were incorrect, did I? As you point out in the part in bold, I was correct in what I was saying. We weren't always well run, we are now. End of discussion really.
You are now, but it's a bit hypocritical of yourselves don't you think if you've been in far worse positions than us to tell us how to run a football club. You benefited from old league rules in administration. That's all I'm saying.
What you were saying was nothing to do with the topic of discussion. We weren't well run in 2002. It's now 2014. I implied that we are a sensibly run club, which we are. You were just looking for an argument which wasn't there.

I would have thought that being in the position we were in and coming out the other side as hugely successfully as we have would put us in exactly the right position to comment.
If you were stuck down a hole and had no idea how to get out wouldn't you want advice from someone who has experience of getting out of the hole?
And the change in administration rules arguably meant that we were more harshly treated than those today as nowadays the taxman does not have to be paid back in full, whereas we had to pay him every penny.
Yes but how many years did that take? It was done on terms that were fair for the club which is fair enough. It winds me up however when Cardiff's finances are mocked yet when you were in dire trouble bucket collections were done on quite a few occasions to help you out. Not saying that you wouldn't do that if it ever happened to us, but this well run club malarkey stems from benefits also in no points deductions, something that would have made a big difference in this day and age if it happened.
There were no bucket collections at Cardiff for us during or as a result of the Petty era, lets put that to bed right now. In fact, your stadium announcer mocked us when we played the FAW Premier Cup final at Ninian Park.
As for points deductions, it would have made no difference to our our league status as we accumulated enough points to have been clear of relegation even with a points deduction.

Yes that season you may have accumulated points, but you never know how that could have played out on the field knowing that there was extra pressure for points knowing that 10 possibly 15 points had been deducted.

I'd say it is as we have the potential fan-base there. I'd rather it be there than not as you never know 5 years down the line what could be. Yes there are the fans who only go because it's premier league, but there's also a big divide down there in fans who want blue/anti tan/malky etc. It's not a nice atmosphere.

Swansea will be costing cutting next season just every other club who has been relegated from the PL. The thought they have this massive amount of money to spend on infrastructure is nonsense when they will be scraping to pay the day to day bills never mind anything else.
