Stoke City.

Includes taking massive fees off us for Kav and Thorne. Invested it well and passed us on their way to the Premier League where they have remained.

Problem is, their model relies on stupid clubs like us willing to overpay for players using money we didn;t have.

The perfect club would be one that didn't sell players to clubs that were spending outside their means! :old:

no their model relies on a wealthy local benefactor willing to subsidise to tens of millions. They lost 30m last season alone.

Swansea City FC since this board took full control and responsibility for its own spending are without any question THE model for all clubs to follow.

But guess what Evans was one of the 12 at the first meeting and actually stated " He did not care about our colour "

And as I've mentioned plenty of times on the other board Annis, I have no problem in admitting that I was wrong because it turns out that I missed us playing in blue an awful lot more than I thought I would and this, together with things like scarfgate and the failure to stick to promises about the debt to equity swap, makes me far more anti red than I was two years ago.

My reference to Leicester and the financial side of things was entirely down to what their current owners have done - they have delivered when it comes to a debt to equity swap and Vincent Tan still hasn't despite us being told at those meetings you refer to that one was "imminent". I don't see why Leicester's current owners can't be praised for what they've done because of something that happened eight years before they took over.

They've gone into admin twice, shafting local businesses and HMRC in the process. They've made massive profits the last few years and still won't pay the people they shafted. Right way? My ass!

Bob, no blame is being levelled at the current Leicester owners but they are benefiting from the situation at Leicester 8 Years ago.

Our predicament and their situation are not similar. We were fighting historical debt when Tan took over. The Leicester owners had the benefit of the historical debt being wiped out in 2002, recent seasons in the Premier League and a new stadium with no debt hanging over it.

None of this excuses the rebrand but Leicester are not a club to wish you were.

Paying a non league striker 35k a week in the Championship with midfielders like their French midfielder on 40k and Drinkwater on 35k.

Pretty sure Kasper is getting a new contract worth 45k, I thought we were bad for contracts.

So your envious of a club because the owner has changed debt to equity. The same club that has a huge history of debt and
Admin. Been bust twice and shafted companies, players, locals for millions, created a president of points deduction yet had no such penalty and even gained promotion . What you are really saying is. Tan should have put us into admin not paid our bills, re-grouped after admin and changed any of his future debt incured into equity. You obviously have double standards and condone clubs shafting others for the benefit of themselves. How does any debt effect you thats Tans concern lm only pleased and proud of Cardiff City and thanks toTans money for avoiding admim or worse, at the same time remaining the only Welsh Club in the English league never to have entered admin. There are a few out there that have stuck to their guns, however the Echo, The Trust, the notice boards and many like yourself have not and dont give the bull that you couldnt get used it , Talk about run with hare and chase with the hounds you couldnt make it up.

Don't let the goldfish bowl of S Wales media and local forums, let you for one second think, how insignificant Cardiff's plight is acknowledged. The amount of debt is irrelevant. It's whether or not you can afford to pay the debt or not is the issue. Under Sam Hammam we weren't able to pay our debt and rather than Sam putting more money in he decided to sell players and sacrifice the club. At least tan is paying off debts and isn't putting the club into more debt than it can afford. You need to stop this Sam Hammam love in he's the worst owner we have ever had who only cared about himself. He wanted to do pretty much everything tan has done but wasn't rich or powerful enough that's the only difference.
