I agree with you Paul 100% - get anything like half we paid (5.5 million) and I will be ecstatic.

I think his holding and passes backwards did not suit our style (what style !!! ha, ha), and always looks out of shape to me.

 Looked to be getting heavier as the season went on, Too many visits to Viva Brazil me thinks mate.

Massive disappoint for me he was, More El Poodle than Pitbull, Aggression my arse.

Wont be sorry to se him go, The English game is too quick for him as Polo has said on an earlier thread.

Re: ' Deal virtually done on first City player to leave '

There is a reason why we paid £11m for him and that is that he looked good at both club & international level with good players around him. We'll get close to what we paid for him if not what we paid....there may even be a further clause in his contract for bids for him. Either way we can spend that money on a goalscorer hopefully.

To be sewn up so early must mean we are happy with the fee

Good to see him go, hopefully for half what he was bought for.

Re: ' Deal virtually done on first City player to leave '

Tue May 06, 2014 5:07 pm

any player with a clause that allows them to leave if relegated, will also have written within the clause a release fee...
you dont sign players for 10 mill with a contract that says if we go down you can just go..........and this season isnt even over, i cant get my head around people thinking we will jump at the first offer, especially with him in the world cup.......if there is an earlly deal we will be getting 10mill plus..why else sell.......

Re: ' Deal virtually done on first City player to leave '

Tue May 06, 2014 5:24 pm

He's not going anywhere yet especially not until after the World Cup !
Probably his agent doing his job and stirring up interest for a later move .
No reason for him to go to a second rate league with a no hope team in Turkey he will go to Spain or stay in the premier league .

Very average prem player. I was expecting some crunching tackles and to strike fear into the opposition. Never really seen much of that at all. No pitbull that's for sure. ;)

The best outfield player this season, superb holding midfeilder that protected a shocking defence , when he was absent City leaked goals by the bucket load, would thrive with better players around him.

agree..ive read lots knocking him, doesnt pass foward enough etc........he plays to orders in his position and tbh i think when he has tried to play a clever pass,it hasnt come off......he is there to do exactly what he has been doing 95% of the time, not every team will want such a defensive midfielder, but if thats what your looking for there really are not many better, knowing your limitations, and not getting carried away by yourself is a plus not a minus..

Too many lapses in concentration from Medel and the way that opposition players seem to be able to ghost past him so easily... He's not in great shape either, I will be happy to see him go and hope we can use the money from his sale wisely.

Being even shitter than shit when he isnt playing isnt exactly a great endorsement.

We leaked goals by the bucket loads when he was playing ffs.

I know like, I think people just like to say stuff without anything to back it up.

he played against Liverpool (3-6), West Brom (3-3), Palace (0-3) and Sunderland (0-4)

but oh yeah, we are so f*cking solid with him in the team

Out of all our players this year, I think Medel played quite well.

He shouldn't have been bought in the first place.

In a better team Medel would actually be quite good I think. He could play for alot of top half teams imo and fit in easily.

I thought that at the start of the season. His fitness is woeful though. he is at least half a stone overweight and cant last a full game in the position he plays.

Ill watch him closely for Chile, but in a 3 man defence hes going to have to cover less ground

Hopefully I don't get banned as I'm trying to explain myself.

I said, "Have you seen how 14 year old girls dress nowadays!?".

Now, take that comment as you want to, but I was criticizing how 14 year old girls dress. I then went on to say about how Katy Perry sexualizes a kids Birthday party in her new song.

It was not meant as "You can't blame clifford can you? Have you seen how 14 year old girls dress" as CF47bluebird seems to have read it.

I have a 2 nieces which are 8 and 10. Keep on calling me a paedo mate.
