Why should I believe him. I seem to remember him saying we would not change to blue after first news of rebrand. Look what happened.

Why do you want a statement of him if, by your own admission you aren't going to believe it anyway?

Plus, the fans persuaded him to go ahead with the rebrand, blame them for that

Not sure how the fans persuaded him to go ahead with rebrand ?? There was no fan consultation .

He said he wouldnt go ahead with it. The echo then ran a huge spread on how fans wanted it and all the letters they got sent, people even emailed TG begging for it. So Tan said he would go ahead with itthen due to fans feelings. That is all fact and in the public domain, all you need to do is look

Don't read the echo , never have and have never sent it a letter . So based on your facts Craig , the fans begged for the rebrand . That's laughable tbh .

He has obviously lost a lot of interest in a football club, 14,000 miles away from his home :old:

" TAN NEEDS TO "

Hopefully tan will see sense. He needs to reverse the rebrand. He needs to appoint a director of football with a good knowledge of championship football. He needs to apologise for his actions. He also needs to convert debt to equity.

Either that or he needs to leave.

I agree Gareth, Tan could not shut his foolish mouth back a few months ago and just took the mick out of the fans ect.
Tan needs to now state his real intentions asap, before the rumour mill starts up, I believe we should be told the plans for next season etc, they would of surely had two plans in place since January.

Absolutely Annis anyone worth their salt has a plan B after all assumption is the mother of all f**k ups!!!

Correct a business man like Tan, will already have a plan B in place

Annis, why does he need to give a statement?
OK the rebrand was a disaster but no one can say he hasn't made money available for the managers, think Caulker is spot on when he said it was not the off field antics that got us relegated it was the players. :ayatollah:

Jules, because Tan is the owner of our club and the fans deserve to know his plans

Also Tan makes enough statements about sh t and crap, about time we had a straight talking statement with the truth in it.

Problem is, I dont want him coming out and saying hes gonna bankroll us again s it makes Ole's job harder in the transfer market.

I personally didn't have a problem with the sacking of Malky, on reflection I wish he had done it earlier, I very much liked Malky as a person, but his football style and tactics were boring, his replacement OGS, was the wrong one, but maybe this was Dalmans choice anyway?
Tan has backed the managers financially to the hilt, he has also paid off all creditors and debts to Langston. He turns up at games, which is rare for a foreign owner. He supports local charities and community projects with hard cash. Now, swap those images of him in the press, by putting a blue shirt with a bluebird badge on him, doing the ayatollah with a big grin on his face and the vast majority would be praising him, saying what a fantastic character he is.

For me, the man is beyond parody. He resembles a cartoon character and doesn't seem to understand how much of a joke he is. The rebrand was indeed horrendous and deeply disrespectful to the history of Cardiff City - but his contradictory stance on backing managers (no more money for Mackay yet money for OGS), wearing the red shirt, publicising himself more than the club and clearly knowing nothing about the game shows him to be a charlatan. The silence is deafening because he needs to come out and either back his new manager publically and also explain what the plan for next season is. Cardiff will lose a lot of revenue next season and he must reassure everyone it's being planned for.

Cardiff's relegation yesterday did disappoint me because I felt you were a welcome addition to the Premier League and your rise from the old 4th division was admirable given the struggles. I hope whatever happens next season is the right thing for Cardiff City but firmly believe Tan needs to be less of a public figure - or sell the club.

Sadly All Spot on in how it has all ended at our club

Agree totally. Personally I feel we wont see him again at CCS. :bluescarf:

Re: The Silence from Tan is deafening

Totally agree with the op.

He needs to say:

Will ole be manager next season, will we still be red, will we be selling or keeping hold of our best players, will he back ole financially to win league again, debt to equity

Agreed best he keeps his head down and gets on quietly with the job of deciding which Manager will manage next season, meet with him and silently draw up his plans to win the Championship......

Why should I believe him. I seem to remember him saying we would not change to blue after first news of rebrand. Look what happened.

Fans kissed arse, sent emails and respective supporter groups done polls asking if they'd accept the re-brand. They did, hence why they went with it

Re: The Silence from Tan is deafening

I thought he was being advised by a london PR company ?

I bet their advise was say nothing.

Our little football club pails into insignificance when you look at the bad PR Malaysia is getting recently. Tan is not daft when it comes to domestic issues and as an "ambassador" for the country he so obviously loves knows to say nothing....

Re: The Silence from Tan is deafening

Sun May 04, 2014 3:38 pm

This thread is ridiculous. The season hasn't finished yet and it has just been 24 hours since we were relegated and people are demanding a statement already? Has Shahid Kahn released a statement yet? No. I know Tan is hated for the rebrand but you look so sad crying over trivial things.

Re: The Silence from Tan is deafening

Sun May 04, 2014 4:49 pm

Personally I cant see why fans of any club need to know everything that goes on within a football club..Look at carl,he used to give imformation on here about possible transfers n would be blasted by some if true or not!The same fans would blast the club its its not what they want to hear.No win situation

Re: The Silence from Tan is deafening

Sun May 04, 2014 7:12 pm

This thread is just daft to be honest.

Why the f**k do you want him to speak up when

A) In my mind he will just come out with some absolute bollocks, make himself and the club look like a bigger laughing stock than it already is. He will more than likely say something derogatory about Malky/Fans/Players/Ole which doesn't do us any favours in the slightlest.

B) You have said in the past you agree with the above and thought he made too many statements over the season.

C) You have admitted you won't believe a word he says anyway.

In light of the above I think it's best he doesn't release a statement and deafen us with his silence.

annis your so one dimensional
your worse than itv with their repeats
you say tans surrounded by arse lickers
and all the malky lovers have been kissing malkys arse all the time he was here and beyond.
I will be like you and repeat my belief, malky was only supported for as long as he was, to get at tan
it couldn't have been for the brilliant squad he put together or the brilliant football we were playing
because in truth he spunked millions on very poor /average players and the football( sorry HOOFBALL) we were playing was dreadful.
and once teams had sussed us out after first 8 games we were fuc.ed
ole tried his best with the players he inherited and brought in what he could in a very short time and hardly any money due to malkys waste / overspend in the summer
you said to me yesterday ole would need to spend at least 25 million just to keep us up next season, this says to me how poor you rate our squad, which was predominatly put together by your beloved(COULD, NOT DO A THING WRONG ) malky .
malky has gone (too late in my opinion)ffs lets move on you cant change it now ,
lets give ole the time you preached malky deserved as that is surely only fair whats good for one is good for all :bluescarf: :ole: :ole: :ole: :ole:

I don't thinks anyone would want to stick up for Tan, I just think sensible people would prefer him to stay quiet and plan for the future, without people ripping into his statements.

Abramovich stays quiet and leaves the press to the Manager who is better qualified to deal with it....

We wanted him to improve his PR, and it looks like he has, say nothing is best.
