Peronally I think we have the basis of a squad but we have to get them a lot more organised defensively, working together a unit. What happened to pressing the opposition? Pulis has proved it's possible to organise an average bunch of players. Perhaps Ole needs to employ a specialist defensive coach.

Defensive organisation, pace and power and two bloody good goal scorers and we'll be ok :ayatollah:

Agree, need some steel and a pattern if play that involves pressuring the opposition and some basic defending.

Not to mention some of these players went against Ole and didn't listen to his instructions etc. So I'll be glad to see them go too

I agree with above poster, if the OP thinks we can do well in the championship without any summer purchases he really is delusional - sorry mate !

Not just the standard of players, wages, and more importantly some of their attitude stinks.

I don't know the situation as regards to contracts, and transfers, etc but if I had a free hand i would only keep 11 current squad players

Marshall (Lewis)
Calker
Fabio
Turner
Cala
Oshilaja(back from loan)
John
Mutch
Noone
Mason(back from loan)
Harris(back from loan)
Dahali
Campbell

Buy 1 top striker + 1 target player, 2 quality defenders, 2 forward minded midfielders.

We need to get the wage bill down - The rest I would get rid of for any reasonable fee.

Blooobirds forever !! :bluescarf:  :bluescarf: :old:

I disagree I think alot of our players are over ratted and the only reason we got promoted is Malkys industrial style and organization, grinding out results and picking up draws away from home etc.

I think if we want to be a flair team under ole we need a handful of New players

I'm delusional ?
You want To go into a possible 50/60 game season with 17 players ? :?
4 of them kids who have never played in that division before

The teams that go straight back up after a relegation are the ones who keep the squad together and go again ! That is a fact proven over many years and is exactly what we should be doing
