Seems to have done better under Monk.
Think he'll stay there for another season and, if he has another good year, they'll have maybe a top six club sniffing around.
£28m is a push, they could probably get £18m-25m for him.
Drives me mad that they found him, and we ended up with Cornelius for not an awful lot less.

You have got to think what we bought him for.
£12m. There is no way we would sell him for a paltry £6m profit.
£25m would turn the head slightly, but i think it will he £28m if we were to sell.

Van Persie went for £30m.
Sturridge went for £12m.
Suarez went for nearly £23m.
Do you really think Bony is worth more than those three? Three of the best strikers in the division, maybe Europe?

Not at all. Top goalscorer in the Premier League in 2014.
Bought for £12m untested and now is one of the deadliest strikers in the Prem at 25 years old.
£28m.
As for Michu being worth £2m...

If most Cardiff fans were honest the big difference between our clubs is your ability to find strikers that produce the goods season after season.
Borini, michu and bony against Campbell Maynard and Cornelius speaks for itself really.
Not sure about that Steve. Its a whole ethos not just a striker or two.
We finished 11th with Danny Graham/Leroy Lita up front and largely a squad that was playing championship football the year previous.
The difference in the sides is mammoth.

It means he is the most in form striker in the league in 2014.
Self explanatory really.

Because it makes Bony look better. Roathie wont include the full season as it doesnt make him look as good.

I think it's obvious how good he is without massaging the figures took a bit to settle in hence the goalscoring in second half of season

Michu's value has dropped significantly.
Last season he was being valued in region of 20 million. Slightly too much in my opinion although he scored a good ratio of goals. This season he has spent more time injured and scoring ratio is poorer. Plus his contract is running down. Reckon he's worth about a quarter of what he was last season.
As for bony he has done well. Probably worth 20 million if people are realistic. If he has a good World Cup add 5-10 million to his value.

I wouldn't argue too much with that.
I don't think we'd accept £20m for Bony though. £25m and it would be very hard to turn down though.

Kenfig Blue wrote:Swansea City striker Wilfried Bony has enjoyed an excellent first season in the Premier League and he is hoping his form may have caught the eye of a bigger club.
The 25-year-old Ivory Coast international insists he is happy at the Liberty Stadium following his £12m move from Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem last summer.
However, he admits his ambition is to play UEFA Champions League football after featuring in the Europa League for the Swans this season.
Bony, who has scored six goals in his last seven games, told Sky Sports News' Weekend Warm-Up: "I want to be in a bigger club, like all young players dream.
"I want to do Champions League now. I want to play more European games, so I feel like that because you feel it is good to play against the big teams."
Wilfried Bony
"So, for me, it is very important to keep doing well what I am doing now and just try to get the chance, and if the chance comes to me then it is up to the club to decide.
"All I can say is that I'm very happy here to be playing in Europe again. If you win something you always want to do more, always pushing yourself.
"I want to do Champions League now. I want to play more European games, so I feel like that because you feel it is good to play against the big teams. It is good to check your level."
Swansea secured their Premier League status last weekend with victory over Aston Villa and Bony was delighted to play a crucial role as he scored twice for the second game running to take his tally to 24 for the season.

I'll give you that one, he is a great Striker, looked lazy at first, but if he scores like that he can afford to be sometimes, if he improved his work rate could play top level....

£28m + please
Of course. Although not having too sell or best players too survive, we as a club realise that if players, particularly strikers of Bony's quality wished to move on to better things we would never stand in their way, as it would obviously mean they have been successful buys and the profit made will be reinvested. Much better that than say signing a player and losing millions on him after sending him back to the the club you bought him from!
