How do you just 'get rid' of a player?

Tell him he isn't going to be used at all and get his agent to find a club/loan him out

Re: Tommy Smith

Tue Apr 29, 2014 2:53 pm

There are ways and means of getting rid of unwanted players.

Not that I agree with it but you make them train with the kids, report for development games but put them on the bench, give them double training sessions, make them travel to away games knowing they are not in the squad.etc.etc.

Theres ways to grind people down who you dont want anymore.

I expect he will retire in the summer after earning all those hard earned wages these last 2 years. :laughing6:

At least in the summer we will be able to get rid of the dead word such as Smith, Lappin and Cowie

Re: Tommy Smith

Tue Apr 29, 2014 3:02 pm

Cowie is not in the same category as Smith and Lappin.

He is Tommys brother and Simons cousin.

Man eats out down the bay virtually every night. Living the dream, not his fault that we were stupid enough to pay.

A shame Ole doesn't see the player we all see, the english pele.

I hope you never become a boss and treat your employees in such an abhorrent manner. You stick to your Daily Mail bubble and we will move on, I bet you hated the unions too.

Malky by all accounts was well respected BY ALL the players and I can't imagine him ever treating an individual like that.

Malky was not well respected by all the players, that I can guarantee. Toward the end it was more like 50/50 in the respect stakes.

Every club has them. They're called squad players. We have them at ours.Vazquez,N'Gog,Lamah plus 1 or 2 others.I bet you every club in the league will have threads on their MB's about these type of players.

A squad player who never makes the matchday squad.

On 20k a week in the Championship ffs.

20k is not much for a player in the premier league. Granted he has done nothing though and should have been sold.

He was on 25k at QPR which was mentioned around the Oxford pre season game, I would be surprised if he is on 20k mind you.

I wonder how much Eikrem and Berget are earning for not playing, plus Kenwyne Jones and Zaha's obscene fees/wages for pretending to be a footballer...oops hang on a minute, they're not Malky's signings.

Kenwynne and Zaha are playing. Not very well, but they are playing.

Eikrem and Berget, wont be on anywhere near 20k a week, and have been bought for the future in much the same way Malky bought Moore and the Uruguyan kid (Who incidentally cant even get in the development side )

You go on and on, it is quite tiring.

Just face facts that their will always be people who will defend mackay. Just repeating the same arguments.

You feel the need to valiantly defend solksjaer for some reason. He can't be criticised it seems.

The people who defend mackay accept the fact he had some part to play in our downfall. Whereas in your mind solksjaer has done no wrong.

We are shit and we are going down, under solksjaer. he has had 5 months to sort it out. He hasn't.
