Think what you want. Tell me what's good about struggling in the Premier League or knowing you'll only ever compete mid table or Europa League at the most? No one of serious credibility is going to invest in you and you haven't got the funds to compete. At the best all you can do is finish mid table, win the cups and qualify for the Europa League. You and us and other clubs our size have no chance of competing at the top which makes it a shit league IMO. In the Championship even rubbish teams tipped for relegation like Burnley can turn it all on its head. Thats the magic of the Championship IMO and which is why it appeals to me.
Why do you think what appeals to you appeals to everyone else?

We will bank £25m this year, keep doing that for a decade and we have a quarter of a billion.

Whats your point idiot? Staying up gives financial stability. Doesn't mean its entertaining or competitive. From a football point of view the Championship is better IMO. The only attraction of the PL is the money for stability, something we've been craving for years.

we may well do one day. Not in the near future but Rome wasnt built in a day. The point is you have to be in it to win it.SKY is the limit.
You right, they are. They've helped kill the top level of the game in the UK IMO.
yet they have made us one of the richest clubs in the world. We will bank £25m this year, keep doing that for a decade and we have a quarter of a billion.
Sod all when the top clubs spend that in a transfer window. You will never compete against owners of clubs like Abramovich, Mansour, etc. You're living away with the fairies.

Dont mind either way. If we stay up its more money. If we go down its better entertainment imo. Win win either way for me regardless. I'd be happy to be a yoyo club like Reading. You all celebrated wildly down the Bay when you got promoted with 10's of thousands turning up.I guess you wasn't one of them then?
I was at uni so no I wasn't in Cardiff at the time. Hope this clears it up. I dont see the Premier League as nothing more than the football equivalent of our capitalist economic system. Its an exact football clone of it and proof of that was Man City's owner throwing money at the cause and them finally competing and winning the league whereas clubs like Burnley can compete in the Championship.
I honestly wouldn't mind being a yoyo club....of course, without Tan around.
But I can remember you saying Malky out...Malky in and so on.They are not the words or thoughts of a man who doesn't care.If I could be bothered i could pull up 10's of threads where you were clearly upset or elated over your Premier League results.
You're upset atm and I understand but to say you don't care and would prefer the Championship anyway is silly. When the dust settles I'm sure you'll see more sense.
He was stating how happy he was last week that norwich have a hard run-in and how its making him feel better.![]()
I like James but he doesn't half go through spells of talking bollocks.Green Arrow wrote:
Im so happy Norwich's fixture list is horrid otherwise I'd be feeling a lot worse now. I can see them getting 2 points from the 12 on offer with the 2 coming from draws vs United and Arsenal. I can see us and Fulham both getting 4 points and Sunderland 6 from their remaining 15 on offer.
That would leave:
Norwich - 34 points
Cardiff - 34 points
Fulham - 34 points
Sunderland - 32 points
As it stands on goal difference we'd go down but we have winnable games to turn that around whereas hopefully Norwich take a pasting or two starting off against Liverpool tomorrow. I hope Suarez puts 10 on them tomorrow to swing things in our favour. Thankfully, on the last day of the season Norwich have Arsenal and we have Chelsea so we should both expecting losses there and no massive goal difference swing. Our goal difference is currently 8 better than Fulham's.

The only good thing about the Premier League is the money. You are beyond deluded if you think you can compete. Tell me another team thats come up that has done it or a club that hasn't had a serious investor. Please, enlighten me.
Manchester United? Top club.
Arsenal? Top club.
Man City? Serious investor.
Chelsea? Investor and pretty big club.
Liverpool? top club.
Blackburn? spent loads in the season they won it.
Go on Roathie, enlighten me. You have an answer for everything.

You'll never compete at the top. Its boring because of it.
Do you honestly believe you'll compete at the top? If you do you are deluded beyond belief which is quite surprising as I had you down as a realist. As a realist I know Cardiff City will never compete unless a big spending investor like Abramovich comes on board.
Name one other club thats broken the mould and competed at the top. Do it Roathie. Go on. If you are happy to settle for mid table premier league then fair enough but I find that beyond boring.

They will only ever be a mid table club and if he thinks they'll compete at the top he's deluded. I find that prospect beyond boring and would rather the excitement of yoyoing between divisions. Id rather the highs and lows than just boring mid table finishes.

..and the straw man logic continues. We must all think the same way as the mighty Roathie and 6Bysedd. Something tells me you both wouldn't be this arrogant or smarmy in person. Interesting thought. Why do you try to force your viewpoints on others and why cant you accept others like myself prefer the rollercoaster side of football, the lows and the highs, as opposed to just sitting mid table in the PL?
If my club was just sitting mid table in the PL I would be beyond bored.
