I have read the books mate just asking those of you who have. ( I do suggest reading them the first 2/3 can get boring in parts but the following really make up for that) Do you reckon that will be the season finale or will they take the story a bit further? :thumbright:

Also any news on when Martin will be releasing the next book ??

Not that I've ever watched or read Game of Thrones but I read somewhere that HBO have commissioned it for another season and they are thinking about another season, the author also plans to write the books.

They've commissioned another 2 seasons and they have said by then they will havr caught up with the books so they might have to go their own direction.....which will be a BIG mistake

they have the rough ending from the writer though, mainly incase he dies (he is 66 and morbidly obese for anyone who hasnt seen him)

One of the strong points for me as a book reader is the dialect and character progression that the show converts well to screen, without the books as a template they might well struggle here. Unless GRRM goes and writes every episode of the 7th series, which is likely to be the last.

As it happens, ive been re-reading the books and have just got to the Purple Wedding. Books will always be better than film/tv as the level of detail is so much more, but was good to see a lot of paralells still between book and show

It's testimony to the lad that played Joffrey in that the reaction to what happened was so strong. I've seen interviews with the guy and he seems a really nice and charming Irish lad. He's up there with the best bad guys and think only Negan, who is coming up in The Walking Dead soon, might rival his sadism.

Nah, they are the cannibals mate. Negan is the leader of a group called the Saviors. Nasty piece of work. Makes the Governor look like a little lamb... if they cast him as brutally as in the comics. Just outright violent.

Love the Game of Thrones series they are easily the best thing on telly at the moment. I read the books after the end of season 2 and got a fair idea on how the story will end but knowing RR Martin it won't pan out the way it appears it will. I'm really looking forward to seeing Bran and Arya's story expand as it goes along, their stories made some parts of the books worth continuing with :ayatollah:
