Let me answer that for you, no. There's no 'Malky style', the style yesterday is operated through thousands of teams week in, week out. The difference between Ole and malky is, Ole does not have one style of play and can adapt, malky played the same boring shit week in week out. It was also Oles signings who were the stars of yesterday's game, cala, Daelhi and Zaha. Marshall was also outstanding as per usual.

We won yesterday by being organised, disciplined, not giving anything away, staying in the game and nicking a goal to give us something to hang on to and we rode it out for a hard fought win. A typical, textbook, Malky style performance. Well done to Ole for finally getting it right for once. He set us up correctly and we sneaked a win. Keep a clean sheet and we will get a result. Hopefully Ole can keep us organised for our remaining 4 games to give us a chance.

Wasnt many hoofballs yesterday we tried to play when we had it.

Last week was more Malky style. Turner hitting hopeless long balls and Taylor being exposed as a useless c**t who shouldnt be anywhere near a premier league starting xi

No but, burnley play with 2 strikers, that is not Malkys style :thumbright:

I must have imagined Malky initially playing Miller and Earnshaw up front together then...

Yes well done malky for putting 2 up front 3 seasons ago u tactical genius

How many games did they play together ffs

Hopefully ole starts with the same team v stoke. Even tho Medel doesn't do much, I think he should start and then be replaced by Zaha, as he offers more from the bench.

The defence yesterday included two of ole,s signings so how you can try and credit Malky is laughable.
We have to play the way we do because we have no quality strikers at the club something Malky failed to address in the summer apart from paying 8.5 million for a striker whom he admitted was bought for the future and was in reality up for sale at 2 million euros 5 weeks before we signed him.

He's not mocking him though is he. His point is that people might attribute yesterday's tactics to a "Malky way". He's stating that Malky didn't create that style and that ole is card more versatile; he is able to use that tactic amongst others. Malky couldn't!

So he plays the malky way and gets 3 points. Plays every other way and gets stuffed 3-0, 4-0, 6-3

Sounds to me like you saw the headline behind what I wrote and jumped to wrong conclusions.

When you look at the quality of the opposition, then I'd say Saturday's win was the best so far of the Ole era and credit to him for setting the team up in a way which enabled us to get that win. However, it's ironic that it was achieved in a manner which was typical of how we used to play under our former manager.

When Ole was appointed, there was a lot of naive stuff posted on messageboards about how we would now stay up while also playing entertaining football. Ole is definitely a more attack minded and tactically flexible manager than Malky Mackay was, but I'd say there has been an element of caution in his approach to all of our away matches under him so far - he recognises that not many sides that escape relegation do so by winning the games that keep them up 4-3 or 3-2, invariably it is by 1-0 or some other result which does not include many goals.

In that way, Ole is not too different from Malky Mackay, but so many people see any praise of Ole as being criticism of Mackay, and vice versa, that threads soon develop into the usual arguments - the point I was trying to make is that Ole is, thankfully, more realistic than those supporters who, still, think just in terms of Mackay = defensive long ball and Ole = attacking passing game.

Some of the football under Solksjaer has been total shit. But don't let that get in the way of your agenda.

Once again you make a thread about Mackay then moan about people talking about him.

You regularly state, "WHY DON'T YOU JUST GET BEHIND OUR CURRENT MANAGER", even though 99% of the fans do. The only people with a problem are the anti-Mackays. They are the only ones constantly making shit threads.

99% of fans that like Mackay, like Solksjaer.
