Good points, he made a couple of transfer mistakes, but overall did a fantastic job.
He did have us playing like a team and when we played the teams in the bottom half of the league, Swansea and Fulham we beat them.
We were also a much harder team to beat, less attacking but harder to break down more like a Allerdyce or Pullis team, but both of those know how to keep a team in the premier League....

But with the 2nd worst defensive record in the league, ye solid to beat

We were playing harder games at the start of the season, our home games were against the likes of Man City, Everton, Spurs and we did ok against good teams and beat Swansea and Fulham away and Man City at home.

Ole has lost our shape and made us easy to score against, we have conceded four against Hull at home, three away to Swansea, three at West Brom, Three at home to Palace, all of these teams are pretty shit, and it's because we can no longer defend that we are going down.

It's fair to say we were more solid under Malky........

It's almost like trolling.

Simple fact is malky is gone and people still can't deal with it

That is the only FACT worth noting on the thread

The rest Is hypothetical nonsense that's my opinion

I work get into the malky/DJ debate as for me the latter done a far better job here under extremely bad circumstances he may have been a miserable c**t and not a 'fans favourite' but he simply over achieved here

Re: ' Can we just lay this to rest, once and for all '

Thu Apr 10, 2014 10:05 am

Regardless, what's the point of trolling someone who supports the same team? What does that accomplish? Disagreeing with something that has happened is one thing; but a lot of the posts seem to just be negative for the sake of getting a rise out of certain people and to somehow be "right", and then those same people get equally upset and defensive when other people they were attacking basically cut and paste the same things back, it's just all very silly to me.

Maybe I'm in the minority in the tiring "debate" (I use that term loosely here) threads of the same subject and the same things said by both sides or the countless attempts of people trying to derail a thread to make it about the exact same subject.

I could blindly pick 10 threads and there's a good chance most will will have the exact same discussions by the end of the thread (some just blatantly start out that way though).

Anyways that's my mini rant, flame away. I'm really looking forward to the next game! :bluescarf: :ole: :happy1:

Annis you are like dictator Tan telling us we have to respect Malky.

Get over it, not everyone thought the sun shone out of his arse.

He spent over 40m on wages and transfer fees in 2012/13 season and we just about scraped over the line thanks to a mediocre championship. Given the money spent we should have toppled 100 points.

He then spent 40m on transfer fees alone (I dread to see next years accounts and the wage bill) on utter rubbish and played the worst brand of football the premiership has ever seen.

Yes he was 1 point outside the relegation zone however that was largely thanks to a decent August / September, but we were quickly found out and from October onwards our ratio of points per games was nothing to shout about, We couldnt score and wwe had the 2nd worse defensive record. Not a good combination.

With little chance of picking up many away points 2nd half of the season, we had to win nearly all our games, with a squad no better than we had in the Championship.

Good riddance to the football dinosaur

Only time he ever lost it with me when I got a little personal, as long as people dont overstep the mark, or continously try and derail the forum (ie Natman and the old Roathie), I think he lets people have a pretty free reign on here.

ive been on forums were you get censored ten times worse than this place.

I would say Brayford but the fee involved was so small that it is hardly worth mentioning. Most of the decisions he made came off, maybe could have attacked more against Palace and Villa earlier this season but in the bigger picture I don't consider these terrible errors.

Maybe I should have worded it better, Cornelius was the only grave error.

I would say spending 40m and not improving our full backs, our wingers, our creativity, or addressing our goal scoring problems more than a grave error I would call it gross stupidity.

In fact he spent 40m and all we got to show for it is a 1 better centre half, and a defensive midfielder who run out of steam in October.

Crazy.

Got to say Polo says it how I see it on DJ and Malky.

I think the most annoying thing is Malky Malky stands by his decision to buy Cornelius even though we are struggling so badly to score all season.

Spot on and the malky lovers can't see this simple fact that the squad he assembled is no better than it was after promotion by arguably one player!

We would have gone down under Mackay just as we will under solskjaer and in fairness to solskjaer he got lumbered with a top six championship side with zero chance of keeping us up

Give him chance to rid us of deadwood but players to suit his style then judge after next season

Comparing him to malky and DJ now is like comparing a arse and elbow

Poppycock

He spent £3m what we got is good value for that price, not good enough at this level but will be great for next season

What value did Mackay get out of £50 f*cking million?

An overpriced English defender a massively over priced defensive midfielder and a giraffe for 8.5m along with a player bought for £2.5m who is a ghost around here

Spending £50m on four players of which only two actually play is complete buffoonery why dress it up as anything else?

It's bad management simple as that

Honesty some people have no clue Steve Bruce spent half that on 6/7 decent premiership players that's proper management

Malky = no clue lets not make a messiah out of someone who wasted £50m of the clubs money

Dave jones would have taken is up and kept us up with a quarter of that

Cardiff City 'Flops' (As decided by general consensus)
Cornelius (Malky)
Odemwingie (Malky)
Zaha (OGS)
Jones (OGS)
Berget (OGS)
Eikrem (OGS)

Key Players (As decided by general consensus)
Marshall (Dave Jones)
Caulker (Malky)
Medal (Malky)
Mutch (Malky)
Noone (Malky)

Malky signed more good players than bad & the only half decent player OGS signed was Daehli who - lets face it - isn't quite good enough for the Prem yet

You're talking through you're arse if you are saying OGS spend well in January

Spot on and the malky lovers can't see this simple fact that the squad he assembled is no better than it was after promotion by arguably one player!

We would have gone down under Mackay just as we will under solskjaer and in fairness to solskjaer he got lumbered with a top six championship side with zero chance of keeping us up

Give him chance to rid us of deadwood but players to suit his style then judge after next season

Comparing him to malky and DJ now is like comparing a arse and elbow

Most of the deadwood signings are OGS's...

Brayford
Zaha (OGS) agreed
Jones (OGS) agreed
Berget (OGS) hasn't played so can't judge yet
Eikrem (OGS) will be a good fit for next season

Key Players (As decided by general consensus)
Marshall (Dave Jones)
Caulker (Malky) (way overpriced and not as good as people make out at fault for at least 15 goals this season, however young and still learning)
Medal (Malky) way overpriced and no better than canas (free transfer) medel (£11m)
Mutch (Malky)
Noone (Malky)

Malky signed more good players than bad & the only half decent player OGS signed was Daehli who - lets face it - isn't quite good enough for the Prem yet

You're talking through you're arse if you are saying OGS spend well in January

Hardly he spent £3m daehli alone is worth that

Malky spent £50m this summer alone and those players combined not worth half of that

It's you sir that are talking through your stuck up bottom
