You not being a big club has nothing to do with us. You aren't a big club simply because you are not.
We arent either but our fanbase doesnt pretend to be.
As for the comparison, if you asked everybody in the world who they have heard of most Swansea or Cardiff then Swansea would win hands down. But like I said, we know we arent a big club and are comfortable with that. It doesnt matter really does it.

i know we are not a big club yet .... but we can be .... just look at our crowd growth .... and if we had stayed up we`d have been getting 30.000 plus next season ..... it will take a decade or two for idiots to stop supporting english clubs in wales! ... if we can both stay in the premier league IT WILL HAPPEN

4th column along is average attendance.
The season is marked on the left.
BUT if you show the top half it will show we are growing and GROWING
Same with any club that gains promotions or plays football at a highher level than previous.
Next season if we revisit it, it will show the club shrinking, get relegated again or fail to get promoted and it will shrink again etc etc.
Thats football.

What potential though? What do you need to do in order to fulfill this so called "potential"?
Yu have now been in every division and yet to see this "potential".
Win the champions league?

You are right Roathie! When a club gets relegated, the attendance shrinks. Some deluded fans seem to think these non-attenders are somehow still part of the fan base. They are not!
Both Welsh Prem clubs are modest in size because of population, proximity, transport and of course, tradition. These are still developing but relegation will definitely stunt this growth. I'm a realist I hope. I also hope to see Cardiff stable in the PL but for now, the rest of the season will be difficult to swallow.
I just hope we don't see a return to the days when we were the nearly club, just missing out on promotion due to playoff cockups.

What are you waiting for to happen in order for this "potential" to be filled?

Right so you are saying get a good chairman in and you will be a massive club?
Come on ptb thats just silly. You need to win things to be a big club, that goes for anybody.

Listen Willie.. we only cocked up 3 playoffs in 9 championship seasons which means that is only 33% unsuccessful championship seasons out of 100%. You make it sound like we cocked up lots. We may be relegated this year in the proper way but we were promoted the proper way automatically to, avoiding Wembley playoff final.

if it was that simple then everyone would be a massive club.
We won a major trophy last year, wigan did too - neither of us are a big club.
In order for a club to be big then you need a continued and sustained presence at the top end of the premier league and in Europe.
Can you name me one club that is regarded as a massive club that has done neither of these things? I cant.
To achieve that is an incredible ask and something you have never done in 115 years of football, so clinging on to that hope while mortgaging the club on it happening in the next few seasons is beyond insane.
You are a small to average sized club that has achieved next to nothing in 115 years. Any talk of "big club" is just pie in the sky. Walk the walk then maybe you can start to talk the talk. At the moment the nonsense talking coming from your fans is stopping the club walking the walk.

Spending 9 years in the 4th Division and having managers like Alan Durban are what u call bad times.
