Have to agree.

He started off very well but has faded badly

I think he is too inconsistent to be worth that kind of money. If you look at all the mistakes from him like backward headers and blunder passes, there are too many. As several others have pointed out, why not pay that kind of money for a player that could guarantee more assists and goals?

Looks to me like he spends too much time in Burger King

And Viva Brazil.
Fact is, we could have got him for a lot less a few weeks earlier, just like we could of with Cornilius. The transfer negotiations last summer were nothing short of scandalous,,,& totally outrageous for what was contractually agreed.

Both Malky, Moody,,& Tans people should all be thoroughly ashamed of themselves!

To me, I cannot see it at all. He has some good points but for the money we paid he is badly lacking. He should be dominating games and be an influential figure in midfield but he has not imposed himself in most of our games this season.

He runs around a lot but to little effect. If he was intended to be protection for the back four the amount of goals we have conceded this season would suggest that he has been singularly unsuccessful.

He was meant to be a pitbull but has been more like a poodle. His sideways and backwards passing is becoming a joke - there's no point looking for the ball from Turner only to give it straight back to him! Disappears from the game for long periods and once a player gets past him he is never able to recover and catch them up - he looks slow and overweight.

Would seem to have no leadership qualities and today he played like someone who knew they wouldn't be here next seaso. Ridiculous foul to give away which lead to their second goal also.

Another Malky signing who has not really provided value for a considerable sum of money.

nope

If we get anywhere near the 11 mil we paid for him I'd wear a Swansea shirt for a day.

One of our best players this season

Because he's a defensive midfielder it's not an obvious impact - but analyse the game and you will see what a difference he makes to the team

Not a chance. Jose Canas was free and would have been better value.

Medel seems to prefer slower paced leagues, hence why he stood out at Sevilla. He is always chasing shadows and blowing out of his arse around 60 minutes.

He was excellent against Swansea & City and that has been it. I'd be shocked if we made half of it back and anyone who thinks a Prem team will come in for him is kidding themselves. He'll go back to Spain most likely where he suits the style.

He had a good game against Fulham away too if memory serves.

But what you say is essentially correct. We have two defensive misdielders that cost a combined 100k who I would have in front of him.
