Re: SOLSKJAER - JANUARY SIGNINGS HAVE FAILED

Daehli and Fabio without a doubt our best players yesterday.

Cala has looked decent and got us the 3 points v Southampton.

I think we spent 6m pretty well with what we got.

I still think Eikrem is going to blow a few minds on here when he is getting regular match time. Now is not the time for him, but you better keep hold on him and Daelhi  anyone remember pirlo when he was 24?

Cala is possibly the best defender in the squad at the moment, along with Caulker. And he scores goals.

Fabio has taken his time to settle, but I'm feeling that yesterday was just a taste of what we can expect to see from him in the last matches and during next season. The same applies to Zaha, if he will still be in the club.

In my eyes, Daehli is unarguably the most talented player in the club and has been the main playmaker for the majority of the time he's been on.

Some of you people are obviously blind.

Ole has certainly come up trumps with many of his signings. The summer will be very interesting whatever league we are in :ayatollah: :bluescarf: :ole:

No they didnt. Numbers from transfermarkt.uk. I would guess cala and daelhi would be valued more, jones, berget and eikrem less. But pretty good value for money there.
Jones v. 2.6m
Fabio v. 3.5m
Cala v. 875k
Berget v. 1.8m
Eikrem v. 2.2m
Daelhi v. 1.3m

Lol these figures are so wrong. There is no way anyone would pay more for Eikrem and especially Berget than Daehli. Berget isn't even playing for norways national team ( he plays for their U21). Who rates this stuff?? :laughing5: We payed 1.5 for Fabio so if he was valued at 3.5 i guess thats good business.

Fabio, Cala and Daehli are good signings.
Jones and Eikrem might be good if we go down.
Didnt see the point in buying Berget at all.But hopefully he will prove me wrong.

From what I understand, Eikrem was the most expensive of those three.

I have a hard time believing that. We actually had competition for Daehli. There was none of that with Eikrem. Daehli being the most coveted player in Norway i can't see Molde giving him away for peanuts. There was a norweagian on this board who claimed OGS had only intended to take Daehli with him, but because agents thought he had such a big budget ( due to bullshit stories in the press) they kept taking the piss and in frustration he turned to his friend and basically bought players he already knew and could get cheap.

Eikrem will prove the sceptics wrong, just like Daelhi did, just not his time yet. Berget was pretty much free, so why wouldnt the club sign him? He cant be worse than cambell and Jones  i agree those figures are wrong, i would rate them like this. Jones 1.5m. Cala 2m. Berget 1m. Eikrem 1.5m. Daehli 8m. Fabio 2.5m. Still makes a pretty good tranfer window on a budget

Why do I get the figure £2.5m from somewhere either way it's good value IMO

Our whole January business cost us £3m net.

he has already got an assist so he has done more

Yeah I now that mate I feel he did good business considering he didn't have any time to assess the squad he already had here he should haven been appointed in October when malky should have gone but the liberpool demo has ultimately cost us our premier league survival IMO I will always look back if we go down at that protest as one man doesn't make the club and had tan not backed down bit the bullet and just dismissed Mackay there and then then I truly belive we'd be easily safe now

I belive we shot ourselves in the foot there cos malky was
Always going to be sacked anyway we just give him more time which was pointless cos we were dire for next 3 games anyway!

It's a shame the fans didn't appose the rebrand as strongly as they did the news that malky was to be sacked then we wouldn't be in the mess we are now

Also goes to show how our fans clearly cared more about a manager than the rebrand at that time which is ludicrous

Eikrem was definitely £2.5m as he had only joined his club in the summer but Ole said we signed Mats for £500k apparently

Never said anything about what we payed for anyone. Even said the figures might be a bit off, and put my own estimate above.

I get that but I don't think the transfer fees have ever been disclosed, all i remember was that when they asked how much we payed for Daehli OGS said i rather not tell because i don't want to put more pressure on the lad which made me think he wasn't that cheap. To be honest i have heard we payed everything from 500k to 1.5 for him so it seems at best unclear what we payed for the norwegians.Seems completely lopsided if Eikrem was more expensive. 4-5 years older and not rated as highly.

Big fan of Heerneveen and Molde then? He's played like 5 times for us. Far too early to judge him.
