You've made a heck of a lot of assumptions there. I've not said anything about Declan John, apart from the fact I don't think he's valued at 10million pounds.

You said you don't believe John could be worth 10 million in the future. I think he can as for the reasons I've explained in this thread, which you can't seem to be able to grasp. Luke Shaw was thrown into the Southampton team last season as a 17 year old. He has learnt from last seasons experience and has improved further this season. Shaw has had a full seasons worth of Premiership experience over John. Gareth Bale, a player who was a bit part player of the Spurs team 4 years ago as a 20 year old, almost went to Notts Forest. It was only when Bale broke into the Spurs team regularly, he started to improve, the same with Shaw, and I'm hoping the same with John.

Like I said, I would probably value John at around 2 million at the moment, but I would put a 10 million price on his head because he could potentially be worth that imo. If I said to you Bale would be worth 85 million as a 20 year old nearly joining Championship Notts Forest, you would be laughing too, just like you are with John. 8m for Campbell?? we'd be so lucky to get that much for him!

The only players who will go for 10m or more are Mutch and Caulker and that is only because I can see a bidding war being put in place for the those players.

Teams will take a punt on John if they are desperate and in now way will he go above 5m in my opinion. But hey, we might stay up this season and keep hold of everyone?
