Absolutely not. Police figures state just over 4k. I'd rather rely on those numbers than your rough estimate.

What would be nice, if these so called city fans say, yes well done to you all, everything went well and u proved the doubters wrong, but hey, some only have one agenda as they say.
You've defo got me wrong there and need to read the start of this thread again. I would have been on the march but couldn't because I was worried about the negative nature of some of our fans. Don't try and write me off because I offered an alternative view to yours. I haven't made anything up on this thread. I just want cardiff to survive as a club (a Premier League club). All those who bang down on the reasoned voice never offer a viable alternative to Tan's money. Like it or not we could go out of existence due to the ill thought out actions of a minority.
A Premier league club. Well that sums you up.
We all want Cardiff to survive but as Cardiff City FC, known as the Bluebirds playing in our true identity. If we have not got that then we are nothing.
Now we see your true side.
I'm 57 and no doubt been supporting Cardiff since before you were born. Unless you can genuinely admit to being older than 17.
Obviously your ambition is to see city playing Barry Town ..... but wearing blue of course.
No doubt there'd be room in the squad for you as well.
There are enough people on here who know me in real life and will be laughing at your post here.
If you would have taken the time to look at my profile instead of letting your anger post for you then you would have discovered I am not far behind you in the years stake.
I have actually seen City play in Barry at Jenner Road and have done the Hartlepool Rochdale grounds although I am not one of the famous 9.

Lets be honest. The organisers said thats what the police said. The police havent said anything officially. I was there and cant believe that figure. It doesnt matter anyway as it was a great sight and gotthe message heard.
no one else believes the figure of a one eyed copper either Craig. We all saw roughly how many attended,no need to lie.
I believe my fellow city fans word over the police any day.

its not easy ......where do you count?
and you have to take into account that the road from Canton to Sloper road would have lots of people on it at that time on a match day anyway..........
but...the march was for BLUE........and no matter how many marched, within the bowl, which is where Tan really gets to have a good look it was the most blue ive seen at the CCS...its the one place he can not avoid it.

I didn't walk the walk, mainly because, even though I'd like City to play in blue, I was worried that some fans, possibly fuelled with drink, would take the chance to make it a match against Tan and I don't think that's a solution we need just now.
Anyhow I waited close to the supporters club office to lend my applause to the finishing marchers and I also decided to do a head count. Obviously I didn't count every single person but took an average of how many were passing me over a given period and working from there. I think my numbers would be as close as anyone else's, particularly the press and media who take great delight in reporting via comments like 'many thousands marched' etc.
I reckon around 1200 went past me. If I allow an error of another 300 then the total looked to me to be about 1500 tops and defo not the 5000 I've seen mentioned elsewhere.
That's an honest opinion and not meant as any slight on our fans but just a genuine reflection on what I saw.

Some of the posts on here last night trying to belittle the effort put in has been pathetic. It's the same posters reverting to pedantic statements. Roath Magic came out with a classic when I informed him the authorities, police, numbered the march at over 4000. His reply was the police always exaggerate and consider other factors like shoppers who get dragged into such marches. How many shops are there along Sloper Road. The guy thinks we take him serious but in reality he comes out with such statements that are unbelievable that it reminds you of the old man sitting in the corner of a pub because he keeps going on about war stories. Just smile, pat them on the head and leave them in their fantasy world alone.

Fair play that made me laugh....
But it's no more unreliable than someone getting 4000 from looking down the street behind them.
