Non UK Cardiff Taxi Drivers

I've worked for both companies and dragon (333 333) & Capitol (777 777) have the same rate which is the LA rate... I believe premier (555 555) is more expensive.

Your right I was mislead by someone regarding Dragon's rates. However, I think some of the fans would rather shy away from a taxi company with the name Dragon after all the fuss about replacing the Bluebird with a Dragon.

The c**t last night tried to go down the link road from the bay to ely. Tried to tell me it was the cheapest way. Like f**k is it

Anyone ever thought of stating your prefered route prior to starting the journey rather than moaning about it after?

i live in marshfield and there are three routes to my house. i always state my prefered route and they always take me...no hassle.

We've all had duff taxi experiences - biggest rip off I ever had was a white Bristolian taxi driver, in Bristol. Doesn't mean all white Bristolian taxi drivers are crooks, does it?

Best trip home I had in a cab from Cardiff was one of our friends in the whole Asian get up - turns out he was a City man through and through, agreed the fare to Ystrad and was dead helpful to all of us, though we were all half cut etc.and his English was partial at best.

People are people, including cab drivers. Get over it.

so are they ripping you off because they are non-uk? surprised they're not too busy hijacking every single plane ever

To be fair I agree that the Asian taxi drivers are a problem. Refusing to take single women home from taxi ranks on an international day because they want fares further afield, refusing to take me home because of the area I used to live. However, if you want a specific route, just ask for it.

I am born and bred Cardiff - and whilst I live in the Rhymney Valley currently, I do spend a lot of time in Cardiff. As for recent years, it is indeed a FACT that I have taken many taxis in the Cardiff area.

Tbf I always go the shortest route I know... But if that Steve west from fb got in the cab he'd defo be going the longest way!! lol
