Totally agree, and although he hasn't been playing I thought SuperKev looked good when he played a few games.

Kenwyn Jones is just shit, as is Berget and Zaha, although he does have the potential to be really good. Fabio looked a lot better yesterday but still wouldn't be my first choice RB. Eikrim is no better than Whitts.

Daehli doesn't quite look ready for Prem football but if we went down I believe he would be one of the best in the Championship next season

I rate Daehli, but next season the lad will be ready
Cala, needs more games

U havent said your opinion on the  up ones ?

Please stop bringing Malky in to this

I'm not disagreeing with the ones you have picked playing well but there is obviously bias to Malky. You say Cala hasn't been given enough games but have chosen to single out Berget and Eikrem

Ok, I think Cala will eventually do a good job  But not Berget and Eikrem from what ive seen so far.

And what's your opinion on the other players that you have ignored? Whitts, Kim, Gunnerson, Cowie, Cornlieus (though he's gone), Taylor, KTC?

I agree with you sentiments Annis and I do agree with your opinion on several players but your point is this thread is clearly to single out Ole

He's hardly Luke Shaw. That said, his physical attributes are there, really quick and is young enough to keep developing his talent

Im so happy that Tan appointed OGS so we got a manager who can get the best out of Malkys signings.
Malky had no clue on how to use them so thank you Ole for fixing our signings..

Keep supporting Malky FC Annis, I prefer Cardiff City.

Re: ' Some of our outstanding players lately and ? '

Kenwyn jones is good enough technically but lacks the work ethic to be effective in a team like ours

Wilfried Zaha is obviously talented but lacks the commitment and drive to push himself to reach the top

Wolff eikram has shown nothing to suggest he is any better than whitts or kimbo in the playmaker role

We haven't seen enough of burget to have an opinion but from what I've seen he looks promising

Fabio is not a full back . He should Be played as a wingback in a 5-3-2 or a winger . Going forward he is pretty good and puts a great ball in , it's the defensive side of his game that really lets him down . In particular his positioning .

Dahlei will end up at one of the top 6 clubs in the premier league within 2 years . Sheer class shining through even at his age and when he bulks up a bit he will be very very good .

Kenwyne Jones - not 100% fit and missed a few opportunity BUT does exactly what we need up front - brings the ball down and distributes it to the attacking midfield - a good signing in my opinion
Wilfred Zaha - a flair players which is what we needed at the start of the season. I don't think he has played to bad but he isn't what we needed in a relegation battle. Don't forget though he was linked with Cardiff when Malky was manager so both out managers wanted him. Although I was sceptical at the start I think he could have a bit to offer us
Eikrem - not a good signing, I have seen a few good and a few good tackles but nothing special - seems like a fringe player at most at the moment
Berget - haven't seen him play so no comment
Fabio - shaky start but obviously has the ability - aside from a few mistakes he has played well theist few games and once he gets more consistent I think he will be a top player for us

I don't think OGS spent badly - KWJ and Fabio being his best signings

Malkys team which he built has always been good enough for the Prem - we all knew hey have the ability

Let's hope OGS can get the best out of them just like Malky did :ole:

Re: ' Some of our outstanding players lately and ? '

Sun Mar 09, 2014 6:36 pm

In my opinion Annis only one of our players has come anywhere near "Outstanding" this season and that is David Marshall. Other than that I thought Ben Turner had an outstanding game against Villa, but on other occasions has looked nervous and playing right on the limit. Also I thought Gary Medal was outstanding against Spurs when I thought he played his best game for us.

Others who I think have been consistent for us this season are Jordan Mutch, Steve Caulker, Fraizer Campbell and since he has got into the team Craig Noone has done well. For a youngster Declan John has done really well and is starting to make the left position his own but we must remember he is young and will only get better.

KTC,KIM and Whitts have been disappointing with more poor performances than good and of the 3 I still believe Whitts brings more to the team, but right now Whitts is shot to pieces and is rightly out of the team. But boy don't we miss his set piece delivery.

I disagree about Kenwyne Jones being lazy as he is doing the job of lone striker well and will as games go by get better. I really think he will surprise a few before the end of the season. I also disagree about Fabio because I think if there is one thing he does show is high energy levels and pace. He does dive in and needs to do better defending but he is the best right back we have going forward in my opinion. Eikrem is about the same as Whitts except I'll give him one thing and that is he always goes looking for the ball and is a player who again will get better with time. Daehli looks a real special talent and surely can only get better and I'm really looking forward to watching him in the future.

Zaha :o What can you say other than he has convinced himself that he is better than he actually is. Campbell gave him the perfect lesson on how to play the wide left role yesterday when he ran himself into the ground for the team. Will we ever see a performance like that from Zaha :? Not in my opinion and that makes him a huge waste of money. Massive disappointment.

Re: ' Some of our outstanding players lately and ? '

Sun Mar 09, 2014 6:39 pm

David Marshall I would say Dave Jones best signing

Fraizer Campbell Works hard but doesnt get the goals needed sadly

Craig Noone has been excellent since he has been given a chance - shame he wasnt used earlier in the season

Jordon Mutch a bit up and down IMO. Poor yesterday but has the potential to make something on another day

Steven Caulker Good solid player and got the goals :ayatollah:

Declan John Poor yesterday, ran with the ball but awful use of it

Gary Medel Making to many mistakes IMO, thankfully they didnt cost us yesterday, but he is all we have in that position

Ben Turner average - i was very surprised Cala didnt start

Kenwyne Jones - Ok yesterday but generally I dont think he does enough

Wilfred Zaha - far to inconsistent

Eikrem - didnt play yesterday but I like him - he actually looks for a forward pass.

Berget - Havent seen him

Fabio - Getting better and better, still unsure on his defending.

yes he is Annis, we need to give the youth players a chance at this club & back the management doing it :ayatollah: I guess the stakes are so high in the next 2 months I worry about us getting done on our left flank due to his inexperience.

Re: ' Some of our outstanding players lately and ? '

Marshall needs no words...

Brilliant article on him in the Papers up here...
Talks about how Strachan rates him very highly...

Turner has Improved this season ten fold but concentration and distribution hold him back..
Cala Berget Daehli Eikrem need to be blooded properly before they can be judged.

Campbell wants to succeed and will work his ass off... Just talent his is limited.

Fabio needs to be nurtured and again Blooded properly... Either stick with him and give him the confidence or tell him to f**k off.. In out in out does him no good..

Zaha... Prima Donna. f**k off son.

Noone and Mutch and Caulker all could do jobs for the their national side ...

Kenwyne..... Will be awesome (as a championship forward).

But u forgot to give your honest opinion on the players? just snipe at the topic Hmm

I can give you my opinion.

David Marshall : Outstanding. One of the best out there in PL atm.

Fraizer Campbell : Got his heart outside his shirt.Always gives 100% and i envy him loads of goals. His passion can never be doubted but his skills are unfortunately not as good as his efforts.

Craig Noone : Has become one of our most important players after OGS took over. But he has alot to go on still when it comes to go on the outside of defenders. Can be a little easy to read like Rosenior did. But i love him!

Jordon Mutch : Suffers still from injuries, not in top form but my personal opinion is that he is the players with the best potential in our club. Miss seeing him getting more into the dangerzone.

Steven Caulker : Captain and a leader. Still young and lots to learn but he is a future captain for the national team. Wont be in Cardiff next year im afraid :(

Declan John : Talent, great going forward but seems to be stressed when he cant keep running and needs to pass the ball. Lots to work on in defence and not a Luke Shaw but still, i believe he can improve lots and fast and establish himself as a great player for us.

Gary Medel : Does what he is assigned to do. Rarely misses a pass, smart when he tackles, positions well and a very good player. His price tag does him no good tho as many expect more but im satisfied with him.

Ben Turner : Slowly improving and adapting to the PL life. I like Ben, he shows that under Ole he is more than the hoofa Ben we knew. He could establish himself at this level and im almost sad when i say that unfortunately id like to see Cala cause he is a better player.

?

Kenwyne Jones: Fraizer wins 1 out of 10 balls that he chase. Ken would win 0!! So why people want him to chase the ball is a big ? for me. Ken is a smart player. He knows that he would fatigue if he runs his socks off. He positions well, wins the ball and comes towards the midfield to hold up the ball. He does what he needs to do and dont waste energy on the balls he cant win.
I just wish he could score like with the header on the back post last match..:(

Wilfred Zaha: Huge talent. Can do the unexpected but he is out of form and i prefer Campbell on the wing until he gets match fit.

Eikrem: I dont know why Ole bought him. I like OGS but this signing was a bad one imo.

Berget: Was a great player for the Norwegian U21 team who came to the semi finals. He has the talent and got picked up by Udinese as a 16year old for a reason. But he aint ready for PL. He got bought because his contract was running out and we wont loose money if he dont succeed.

Fabio: Imo just what we needed. A back that goes forward, overlaps and got great pace. You can see already that the confidence he is gaining helps his game and if he continues like this i believe we will enjoy having him on our side.

Fabio crossed the ball in to the box

Kenwyne took out two defenders when challenging for the ball in the air

Noone then caulker.. 1 - 0

they may not be pleasing to the eye but that shouldn't hide what they contribute.

We're a team not individuals.

Fabio has been good the past 2 games. Eikrem hasnt really played. Jobes has a thankless job in as much he's a target man.....every target man we have ever had is lambasted because fans dont understand the role (even Thorney was for a while) and Berget hasnt played apart from 1 half.

Ok Craig, I will take Hmm out, just for you

If you werent I apologise but it looks so much like thats what you're doing

Craig, I was honestly thinking about who has played well lately.
Fabio and Zaha to me could be dynamite, but they are to lazy or laid back in my opinion.

Near the end of the game yesterday Fabio got forward, we lost the ball and he sprinted the full length of the field to get back into position. Last 2 games he has been excellent. Zaha turned the Nowich game in our favour but has been poor since
