scares the f**k out of me quite simply because of the amount of money involved, and no alternative backer.....

I think you will find that Tan has already wreaked havoc. :ayatollah:

we are in the prem playing to full houses............this is really not havoc........he can kill the club, anyone that thinks otherwise, just doesnt want to think about it or just doesnt care.........thats YOUR choice......i do care....have done for over 40 years

With the way the British press has started using any sort of non story to give him negative publicity and the forthcoming march I would not be surprised if he walked away at the end of the season especially as we will probably be relegated anyway.
Even as stubborn and as egotistical as tan is there will be a breaking point and I think relegation will be it.
There's a popular theory that he cannot afford to walk away because of the money owed to him but as I see it there are two options the first is that upon relegation he converts debt to equity and sells the club on to someone else who could use their own cash and the parachute payments to purchase the club.
The second option is that he has a fire sale of assets gets as much money back as possible and withdraws all financial support plunging us into administration and then possibly liquidation.
The fact that he has signed up to the same agreement as bill gates in where they will give half of their personal fortunes to charity allows him to write the money off owed to him by the football club because to me that agreement means that money is not the most important thing in his life as people would have you believe.
People need to be careful what they wish for because for all of the bluster of driving tan out and the rather be blue in division two merchants the main protagonists have no idea what would happen to their club if they achieved their aim in driving tan away from the club.
As a final point if tan actually turned around after the Liverpool game and said right i will ballot all existing season ticket holders and the choice would be I stay at the club continue to invest my money to get us back in to the premier league but we stay red or I withdraw financial support at the end of the season and you find yourselves a new owner prepared to pump millions into the club whilst you dictate the colour of the shirt.
This is where I think you would find the 90% of support tan claims to have would come forward.
The reality is we can all shout from the rooftops about despising tan and his rebrand and driving him from the club but if he walked we would all be shitting ourselves worrying if our club was going to disappear overnight.

So you think it's ok to put up with our club being hijacked and the fans blackmailed into supporting a rebrand they oppose. This is clearly wrong and although there is a risk associated in driving Tan away and we all acknowledge this but it is sometimes better that we take a chance of going for glory even if it means being put out of our misery with our heads held high rather than present ourselves arse up in the air to a dictator and suffer the same fate in the end by death of a thousand cuts. Remember there is no guarantee that once relegated he would not pull the plug if we did not go straight back up anyway so we might roll over and still suffer the same fate. I just can't see Tan getting the same prestige out of us when he invites his high power friends over to watch us play Yeovil at home in the championship.

The question still remains, and give it a good long think why dont you? What is the end product of tan leaving? So far annis have never answer this, whitch is pretty horrendous given the magnitude of his campain..

I do know based on what's happened so far that the result of Tan staying is the eradication of the club I love. The end product of Tan leaving is hypothetical and no one really knows for sure so it's pointless painting a doomsday scenario or a rosy picture as we simply do not know. The debate is do we keep Tan and see him destroy what is left of our club or do we take a chance on getting rid of him. It's a gamble for sure but may be worth it to preserve the little bit of our great club that remains.

whats not hypothetical, is the amount of money we owe.....how stubborn Tan can be.. and as Steve said, Tan has already given millions and pledged more to charity, so therefore its not ALL about the money.......know your enemy..he isnt welsh, isnt a fan, has nothing like the affinity we have for this club..he can f**k off back to Malaysia never to return and leave what ever mess he chooses too..........you have to factor what you know about him in before taking the gamble of driving him out.......to me its playing rusian roulette with the club itself........its not even about having alternative investment because its his call, he could f**k them off too..

More doomsday scenarios. I don't think it nearly as bad as you paint. And well worth the risk because if this clown stays then we will have nothing left of our club left to support anyway so it's a no brainier.

yes well for the bulk of my days supporting Cardiff nothing went rite...i dont see its worth the risk..
strange thing is..its the same people that say he is mad.....doesnt care..has no respect for us the fans...that are most willing to gamble that deep down he will leave on semi good terms........you either believe one thing or the other surely?
