As I say I'm not expecting change tomorrow, but joining the Trust is one small way I believe I can positively influence change in a direction I believe in - our colours, our fans voices heard etc.

If you don't want to get involved, that's fine, but why some of us supporters feel obliged to slag people off who are trying in their own time and without pay to improve things just beggars belief.

btw I am nothing in the Trust, just a member, so don't speak for the Trust.

Why don't the trust give members for the first year free membership to boost numbers to a level that would really make a difference ? Then charge from there on in ?

It's only £12 a year I think, though I added a donation to mine - I didn't think that was too big an ask :ayatollah:

Tan's country of Malaysia have an ALL BLUE logo for Malaysia 2014, yet Tan still insists his ridiculous red rebrand is the way forward for us. BLUE Chelsea are cracking the far east because they are SUCCESSFUL. Colour has nothing to do with it! We are not a toy for Tan to play around with, some of us have reluctantly accepted the rebrand but I think the majority of us just want to watch OUR team, whatever the level!

Being a football supporter is all about heritage, local pride, history, identity. Football is about experiencing the lows to make the highs feel even more special. But do you know what I'm experiencing at the moment? Nothing! I'm not experiencing anything because the passion and emotional connection I once had for my local club isn't there anymore. Tan's taken that away from me and that's because the club he's turned us into is no longer the club I grew up falling in love with!

I was born a blue, I will live a blue and I will die a blue! Tan cannot buy me with his money and nothing Tan does will ever change the way I feel! I was happy we got promoted, but it didn't feel as special to me as it should have, how can any achievement feel special when you no longer feel part of your club? This has been my worst season ever, not because of the results, but because Tan's ruined our club even further!

I would rather us struggle as what we are - the Bluebirds in blue, than succeed as something we're not - a money churning Premiership/Vincent Tan red franchise. I like to think the majority of us Cardiff fans take pride in the traditions of our football club and us Cardiff fans think Tan has vandalised our club, taking away the things that made us fall in love with our club and made our club feel special to us.

Vincent Tan, you have done enough damage and you are not wanted here. Please get out of our club and take your fellow rats with you!

Best post I've read in ages and reflects my feelings exactly.

I'll pop down next home game. Cheers for the info. I think the trust is the way to do it with fan power.

Cheers mate. People complain about the lack of atmosphere at games but I think a lot of fans think like me and the passion just isn't there anymore. In some ways, the best way to get rid of Tan is if our club fails, as Tan doesn't want to associate himself with failure. Not that I'm saying I want us to lose, the rebrand has just messed with my head emotionally and has taken that passionate edge away from me.

I joined the trust by googling it and its really simple to join on their site. I paid by PayPal but you can just do it by card also.

Getting a greater fan shareholding of the club is vitally important!

Cheers mate. Totally agree, the more members, the more shares available. Might only be a few, but collectively we can make a difference.

Agree 100 percent.
The heart and soul has been ripped out of our club.
Next year I will support from afar. I may well be replaced by a new fan, but I will always support the Cardiff City that I grew up with in the late 60's and early 70's. One day I will take my grandson and hopefully he too will follow the City.

Interesting Steve.

Might be worth some of us getting together and working on a plan to get the trust more proactive.

What I have so far seen of the Trust is somewhat "Toothless" and "Wimpish" it appears that the Trust dont want to create waves and upset anybody. This is in no way personal towards any members of CCST just my impression of the situation.
We cant rely on others to do our dirty work can we? THE BOARD NEED A REAL WAKE UP CALL. We have pussyfooted around too much and got nowhere.

Nah.. It nice to have some one in touch with the real world and having a go through wanting dialog.. :ayatollah:

Where has that got them? Tan refuses to meet them, they've been waiting nearly 2yrs

And where have the BU gotten? What im saying, it might be time to organize things a bit, and be sensible?
It is actually possible to chant, support the team (without throwing false claims arround) and create a great atmosphere
While still supporting blue!

What's the BU got to do with me?

i go on Bu Facebook and you posted on there your in discussion with Sian about Liverpool protest, are bu involved or is it nothing to do with them.

Forever Blue wrote:Alfie, Yes I was upset by Steve's comments regarding some of our fans pasts, everyones got a past incl many in our club from top to bottom and heads of different groups/organisations, but I will not start a witch hunt on them.

Regarding drink, no one was drunk the other night, we were in a public house for gods sake, in fact I drank 4 glasses of sparkling water all night, on a diet :D but so what if a few fans had one or two drinks, they are adults.

Families,men,woman etc all attended. :ayatollah:

The small flag, its been already explained time and time again. So if one fan in the Canton stand puts up a Tan out flag up, lets blame the whole Canton Stand

Lets be honest the fans behaviour was impeccable the other night, Well done to you all. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

We only want City fans and future fans not to forget our true identity and new owners who come in to change us back to our BLUE. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

We have no intentions of causing trouble, disrupting games, in fact we want to Support our team and wear our Blue and sing our old songs. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Best protest of all, is for every City fan to turn up in BLUE home and away and Cheer the team on. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Deep down I believe Steve would love City to play in Blue and hopefully Steve does give Bluebirds Unite Respect and not think only bad of them, they deserve a chance and time. A meeting with Sian Branson could probably help. :ayatollah:

Excellent post, I did a similar post giving my feelings in this thread viewtopic.php?f=2&t=137267

I have renewed, but only because of the price freeze to be honest. I will probably only get away membership the season after next unless Tan pushes off and we get our identity back.
