Taking him off before half time was unforgivable . I lost all respect for Ole at that moment .
Eikrem is not fit to lace his boots and his dead balls are piss poor compared to Whitts . Whitts has never complained about being played out of position and always gave his all for the team . Yes he doesnt run around like a headless chicken but what player with class does ?
Bring him back for Spurs !!

Completely agree with all that.
Against Hull last week, all the adrenaline of Saturday football day died for me when I seen the team selection and a midfield of Don/Eikrem and just to top it of that bag of utter wank Zaha so knew before a ball was kicked, we was about to get battered.
Jim, as you rightly say is a fuckin legend and should not be blamed for any of this.

Lets be fair here whitts has been a great servant and i actually think he did ok in the first section of this season but he has as per usual dipped drastically in form. Lets remember last season he was having a mare Malky dropped him finally brought kim in and the rest is history. another fact to remember is that whitts seems to have played outstandingly the last 3/4 seasons until xmas then he just seems to go bloody awful !!yes he is a city great but be honest he needs to do more in the prem.

I totally agree. When he was played as an attacking midfielder he was our top scorer and equal top scorer in the Championship with Maynard in 2009-10 with 20 goals and 25 for all matches (Maynard played more matches though). His finishing for a midfielder is better than our strikers, as long as he's not played on the wing or as a defensive midfielder. He is also one of the top 3 English winger crossers of the ball (see the article about Noone and the England world Cup Squad in the Metro). I would play him instead of Campbell, just behind Jones.

No-one is disagreeing he was rightly taken off and what a load of tosh.. you can't deny there was jeers and boo's when Whittinghams number and name was up and called.

Head buried in the sand Nukes sorry.

I am not deniying what some say happened but I heard no disrespect where I was. I clapped and cheered Zaha coming on. I loved Whitts but I feel he has had a very poor season. But he will still be needed in the Championship next season.

I just cant get my head round this post. Everyone could see it wasn't working and we was going no where. So Olly done what he was paid to do and that was change it so it did. And that change worked so he done his job. Whitts had to come off and thats called football. But that was the only tactical insperation we have seen from Olly so far so fooking savour it. Christ he done something right for once and you lot hate it :laughing6: :laughing6: :laughing6:

Like I said tho no-one is disagreeing he should of been brought off, it's just the manner in the fans reacted to him being brought off, I never seen anything like that from where I was (Canton) along with jeers and boos you could hear people saying 'F**k off Whitts'.
