Re: I hope Ole stays

To get rid of him now would be an even bigger disaster. Given time I think he may come good but its too late for us as far as the premiership is concerned. My objection to him coming was timing and we can ill afford the time whilst dropping points as he finds his way. He does play attacking football but lacks the players to play that type of football. Perhaps given time he may bring in more players that will be able to play that style and I hope Tan gives him the chance to light up the championship. :ayatollah:

Yes I agree with this.

Coming into Cardiff from managing abroad half way through the season was always going to be difficult for an inexperienced manager like Ole,especially given the circus our club has become. He took a gamble on Zaha and Jones and at the moment it's not working out. If they had clicked then it would be a different story. The whole feel of the team right now is one of pre-season. Come next August, and like many I think we'll be in the Championship, Ole will be in a much better position.

Maybe he will be in a stronger position,,,,if he stays. I have my doubts though,,, that he will still be with our club next August.

No you claimed Justin Bieber stylee hysteria over OGS & his Manchester United career just because some of us support him as our current manager?. Malky should have had till the end of the season but that was not to be so i'll support ole this season and whatever league we are in next season to only next season i'll start judging him :thumbright:

Ok, I pose this question. Would the fanbase have been as supportive over the results if Alan Curbishley was in charge? I am of the opinion that some fans are starstruck, not even considering Ole has no experience of the task he was handed & are willing to shield him from criticism. Curbs would of got slaughtered for these results because he didn't have a memorable playing career

If he gets his own players in then he may do well. i can see what he's trying to do and that's exciting football but i agree he does need the right players to do that.

Doesn't it remind you of the gutless Dave Jones teams from a couple of years ago? Some flashy players who would make us look good in the championship but always likely to concede a easy goal especially on the break and simple to play against.

I am hoping he is better than Jones but not yet convinced.

Totally agree. Under Malky, we were a team of fighters full of guts and passion able to grind out results when needed. What a difference now Ole has come in. Ole has brought in some good footballers, but we are open, vulnerable and are no longer the organised unit we were under Malky. Worryingly, the guts and passion required for a relegation battle isn't there anymore. Hull should have expected one hell of a battle against us. Instead, we just rolled over and Hull had an easy game.

There's a lot of similarities between the attitude of our current team and Dave Jones' team. We now have premadonnas like Zaha ducking out of tackles. Kenwyne Jones who was my man of the match against Norwich, only puts the work in when he wants to. He's a man mountain of a man and should be battering centre halfs with his size. Ole has brought in a few talented footballers, but some of them don't have the character and attitude required to keep us in this division.

Under Ole, we might play nice football, but I fear we will always be outbattled and Ole will always be out thought. The opposition currently want it more than us, which is tragic with the position we are in. We are now a soft touch and teams must really look forward to playing us knowing we are there for the taking.

Have you ever posted anything constructive? Some outakes or something that could build on? Just one word of visdom that would lead forward? Is this how you manage your own life to? Always moan of what has been and what went wrong?
What you call "utter garbage" are actually post from people who want to move forward, and not sit in the corner pointing fingers. My outtake is 30 years in football, a coaching license and an edjucation witch involve human relations, positive thinking and moving forward. What is your outtake? Bring back Malky? Ole havent got a clue, and Tan is a tosser? Great play mate!

ooh dear, getting confused by a football forum which is the discussion of err umm football?

I fail to see the positives in anything that the club has done on & off the pitch, but each to their own. If you can find something you are proud about then that is fine

I was saddened when Malky left, but sometimes you have to trust your clubs' decisions (much like the Swansea fans did with Laudrup) The difference is that Huw & Co run their club properly & we don't. Hence all the negativety from posters such as myself.

Tan is not an idiot, but certainly is a tosser. Getting involved in a sport he knows nothing about. I am very happy that you have an education & a coaching licence. Bye

hehehe :laughing6: well I would revert to the tactics that was averaging a higher yield. Back to counter-attacking football. Employ Medel & Gunarsson as holding midfielders like at the start of the season. Ole does not have the firepower up front for his tactics to work, so must adapt to the squad he has.

Ole needs to work on keeping clean sheets and go from there. :ayatollah:

Possibly the right appointment made at the very worst time. You CANNOT try and change a footballing philosophy of the squad with a few additions in January, in the middle of a season.

That's probably put paid to our Premiership survival.

You can try, but you would fail miserably, as Ole is finding out for himself.

The main nucleus of players have been bought in mind for Malky's defensive type of football. Solskjaer is asking the same squad of players, with a few average additions, to totally change the playing style, whilst in a relegation battle.

Absolutely crazy.

I'd love to see what Ole could do with a set of his own players at his disposal and a full pre season of training. In my mind, the best person to keep this team up would have been Malky. Doesn't mean that he's the better manager, just that his style was far more suited to this group than Ole's.
