And of course Annis when the taxman came calling PMG knowing they were going to make their millions here would have let Him close our doors.
As I said in the beginning there was too much interest in the club to allow the taxman close us down and now most are praising Tan for saving us. Yeah right if Tan had not stepped in I'm confidence someone else would have with all that money to win.
Ian, We were never ever dead, PMG had millions invested in us and Paul Guy must be worth well over £100 mill. Guy was never going to let his money be lost.
Annis that's a myth about us not being dead.
I went to the court that day and as I have said many times on this board despite the written guarantee of 6 million from Vincent tan the revenue barrister still wanted us liquidated because in his opinion we were still insolvent.
There were no offers on the table from other people and bear in mind paul guy had the retail park so he could have afforded to write the Cardiff debt off as some day as we are seeing now he would reclaim those monies from the sale of the retail park.
Once that court hearing started it was liquidation or tans investment accepted by the court.
Aside from paying for the land that allowed the stadium to be built paul also stood guarantor for the additional 9 million needed to complete and fit the stadium out.
We've been down this road many times and as steve borley came on this board and said without paul guy propping the club up after Black Friday we would have been gone a long time ago.
If the roles were reversed and it was Sam doing what paul is doing now we would be saying good luck to him he deserved it.
Let's not forget any money paul put in was his own personal money not the borrowed money Sam put in.
I will always disagree with u on the Red or Dead as even Alan Whitley to our faces said that was not true, at worse he said we would suffer relegation.

Annis
I'm not talking about the red or dead I'm talking about when tan made his first investment.
Without that investment we were dead

They stood in when C&R could not find tenants in a market when retail and speculative investment could not be funded. They also put up the shortfall funding to build the stadium and stood guarantor to deliver the project.
The land was sold at full value before the Lehman,s crash and 150000square ft of retail would cost over 200.00 per square ft to build . Much of the retail stood empty when built and much would have been let with long rent free periods given market conditions. The financing costs, legals, and professionals would have been considerable never mind the costs associated fighting Langston. In the end they deserve every penny they got out of the deal but it won't be 60 million

I think he's trying to say by criticising Paul Guy
Vincent Tan and saying nothing against Sam is similar to backing Sam.

Hmm
This topic was not about Sam.![]()
Also only a few days ago, I said I 100% I did not agree with Sams comments regarding, Malky,Rebrand and Tan.
I also did not agree with Sam changing our badge.![]()
I will always say if I feel Sam was wrong and he has been on numerous occasions, but I was only discussing the sale of the land which PMG had just sold. As usual posters try to twist stuff.

Ian twisted this into somehow showing that it proved we wouldn't have gone bust had Tan not saved us from liquidation. That was wrong. I brought up Sam but feel my point was valid that without him in the first instance there wouldn't have been a stadium or retail park.
