He is a Dictator, won't listen to reason, does what he wants without regard for people who care and know more than him, uses the media to his advantage, blocks any attempts to protest or speak out against him.

no that's not what i said at all. a dictator is usually someone who flouts democratic principals and customs (usually using violence or fear) to become a ruler who runs by single decision not by council.

Dictator refers to the leader of a country. not the owner of a business. as much as i dislike tan he is within his rights to do with this club as he wishes as football clubs do not consult with their fans as to who buys their club...they never have and never will.

the reason i mention the countless deaths and attrocities is because that is the usual association with dictators (can you remember a dictator of a country that hasn't caused suffering?) is different to what tan is doing.

In short, if Cardiff City FC was a country then yes, Tan would be a dictator. But it isn't...so he isn't

Now i'm not pro Tan by any means. In an ideal world id like him to stay, turn us back to blue and act like any other owner would: working somewhere within the peramiters that the fans of the club are happy with (to varying degrees) but if that isn't to be then i don't want him within the club that i love.

With that being said the thing that really gets to me is when people describe him as a "DICTATOR" it really annoys me. It completely trivialises the unspeakable horrors that occured under countless dictators for the last 100-150 years and still happen to this day. Now i do understand where this mantle has come from but i still think its quite a stretch to compare him to people often responsible for the deaths of millions.

Call Tan what you like, call him crazy, call him a terrible owner, call im a terrible business man; but every time you go to call him a dictator just remember: You are not risking your life for your political/religious/cultural belifes, you are not hiding your family across boarders in fear of your life, you ARE a fan in a football stadium who doesnt like the billionaire who owns it. Perspective needed for some i feel

Which is complete bollocks. He said he wanted to change colour and badge. Fans revolted so he said I won't do it but the 100 million I was planning to invest I will no longer invest and then the fans (not all but definitely a majority) got him to change his plans back towards the rebrand.

you dont reeeeally think he's a dictator: then you've resorted to name calling which weakens any legitimate argument against him.

im not one to spout about my own personal life but i did a degree in 20th century european history. hitler was never democratically elected to the presidential post (yes as chairman but there was so many other issues there it still pretty much doesnt count).

don't mean to be rude but you should probably do your homework. if you did you'd know that hitlers consolidation of power was anything but democratic.....but im pretty sure you said you only wanted to talk football so we should probably just leave that there
