KTC? Did he complete any passes against Wigan?
I thought KTC was woeful against Wigan. Looked a liability every time he was near the ball.
usual consistant performance then
Yep. Fabio is no better Paul. I'm amazed that we've bought 4 RBs over the past two seasons & not one has stepped up and done anything better than McNaughton.
yep. fabio is woeful, having said that ive only seen him play through the gaps in my fingers so maybe im being harsh.
A lot of people were applauding KTC for a last ditch tackle V Villa, i really didnt see it like that, he only had the time to get back in the first place as agbonlahor wanted about 5 touches before shooting, and why was he so far behind in the first place!
Mcnaughton for me is still our best RB defensively, and should be playing ahead of all of them. Perhaps Brayford is the answer next season?

Fabio is to poor defensively to be a fullback and not good enough to play on the wing. Ideal for a wick back role but cant see us playing like that.
McNaughton still our best RB.
As for the Norweigians, I think Wolf and Daehli are assets to the squad for sure. The striker I still havent seen. At the end of the day they have come in cheaply and most likely on low wages.

Berget was thrown out on the wing after a short amount of time, had good movement but didn't really offer very much.

Daelhi looked good, needs more confidence in him when he's on the ball but you know he is a threat when you have 2-3 players on him every time.
Berget looked average and couldn't even control the ball.
Cala was excellent.
Eikram Bosses the midfield? Is he doing this in training? or are you playing him on FIFA ?
Mon Feb 17, 2014 3:20 pm
They are top4 cast offs, as i said at the time.
Mon Feb 17, 2014 4:05 pm
The only poor performance from Eikrem that I've seen while at Cardiff was at Bolton. How people are slagging him, especially when he's coming off the back of season break, is impossible to comprehend. He has been solid.
Mon Feb 17, 2014 4:19 pm
Eikrem had a good game but there's not enough movement in the middle when him and Medel play. Would like to see him and Mutch (if fit) play together now Medel is out.
Berget looked a little off the pace but showed some promising sides. Can't fully judge until we see more out of him.
And as for Daehli, the kid looks class, easily our best player on Saturday specially when he was moved in the middle. Not enough of our players were on the same wavelength at times.
Our main problem Saturday was we never got the tempo going and it didn't help that both fullbacks were shocking and too scared to go forward

not for me..

Marshall
Kev Cala Caulker taylor
Noone Mutch Cowie Zaha
Daehli
Jones
Kev and Taylor as they are better safe defenders with Nooney and the Saha in front of them
Cowie and Mutch both go beyond the striker and with Kenwyn thats not difficult

Yes Cala very good and Eikrem is clearly class. I think we got something to build upon

When? I never saw Dæhli lose the ball.
At Villa a couple of times from memory. I rate him and still want him playing he looks class, just a small and lightweight, Premier teams will try and chest and knock him off the ball, hopefully the refs will protect him....

Play Cala
Play Cowie in Medels role, he will be very effective
Play Eikram? well have no choice
Play Daehli definitely because already, who is better?
Play Harris instead of Zaha as he is massively overrated and not Premier class
Play Campbell not Jones and use the flanks

When will people realise jones is just a rich mans rudy gustede, fortune west etc.
he scored his first premier league goal with a mistake touch since 2012
playing him up front alone and expecting goals is something else

Mats Moller Daehli loving life with Cardiff after rejecting Manchester United return
MUMMY’S boy Mats Moller Daehli turned down Manchester United to join Cardiff’s relegation battle.
The 18-year-old Norwegian wonder spent two seasons at Old Trafford before returning to Norway with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Molde.
However, when Solskjaer was appointed as Malky Mackay’s successor at Cardiff last month, Daehli was offered the chance of Premier League football.
It sparked immediate interest from United, who had written a buy-back clause into Daehli’s contract when he joined Molde on a two and a half year contract last July.

Mummys Boy? He'll also be gone before the Championship starts. Three or four more games and
Clubs will knock

Cracking player Dæhli but it's not really fair to heap such responsibility on an 18year old. Same as John really. Really needs to bulk up to make it in this league or the one below. But yeah he is a gem, can't believe no other club (bar United) came in for him.

I wouldn't have KTC anywhere near the starting line up after his performance against Wigan. He was absolute dog shite and shit out of a challenge that lead to their first goal. All he had to do was be strong and he pulled out!
My team for Hull would be:
Marshall
Super Kev, Caulker, Cala, John
Gunnar, Whitts, Daehli,
Noone, Campbell, Zaha.

Agree that Zaha is slightly over rated and i'm assuming it's because of 1) his price tag and 2) he's english.
But Harris is not on par with Zaha. Most times i have seen Harris play he causes problems. if we went down then id like to see him given a chance but not in a premier league relegation battle.

Have you seen Fabio's twin brother play for ManU? He is basically the same type of player that stayed clear of injuries and got the more consistent first team experience. He is good enough defensively. When you got that extra pace and acceleration and gets stuck in like Fabio, there is no reason why you should not be able to beat your wing opponent. Why shouldn't he get better given a consistent run of games like he became in a steadily fashion during his QPR loan spell?
When Swansea got the first goal it looked like schoolboy defensive work from Fabio and that is why everybody turns against him. But the pressing work from Whittingham on that occasion was non existent, and it allowed for a very dangerous ball behind defense. The mistake that Fabio made was that he was positioned outside his man instead of inside. The thing is that it is very hard to be an attacking fullback if midfield pressure and possession is too poor - you never know when you get punished with through balls and should have taken no risks and stayed back. And if the formation eventually is drilled properly, especially when midfield players are applying defensive pressure the right way, mistakes like that should be more or less avoided.
