I think our attendance will drop to an average of around 18,000 while a lot of the glory support falls away, and the cotinuing dissolution grows.

as far as tan goes, who knows

It's all speculation, but if City get relegated, clearly, there are lots of different permutations.

Personally, I don't think Tan would be willing to sink another significant sum into trying to get the club promoted again. I think he would view it as a failed 'project' and attempt to run the club (from afar) on a tight budget and sell it at the earliest opportunity. I believe his interest would wain and his main priority would be minimising his losses. Minimising his losses would, undoubtedly, include the departure of high wage earners.

In the short term, at least, I think Tan would be sensible enough to realise that a club entirely stripped of its assets, heavily in debt and struggling at the bottom end of the championship would not be a particularly attractive prospect for potential suitors so running Cardiff City on a tight budget would be more likely than running it on an absolute shoestring one.

In the above scenario and the likely impact that relegation would have on his personal interest and day to day involvement in the club, I think a return to blue would be a possibility as it would potentially encourage a sizeable number of fans to renew their season tickets who otherwise wouldn't, as well as having a very positive impact on merchandise sales. Suddenly, revenue streams such as these would become important again.

It has to be said though that it is just as easy to imagine Tan behaving in a bloody minded manner. A return to blue would suggest the much hyped 'loss of face' and maybe that would be too big a step for the Malaysian funster...regardless of the clear commercial sense such a move would bring.

The danger would be if Tan was unable to sell the club (even at a cut price) after a prolonged period of time then I think we could see large scale asset stripping and a club run on an absolute shoestring. I think he'd run it into the ground, frankly.

As I say, just a personal view.

Yep I remember that and not long after I left the country.

There is a big chance history could be repeating itself.
