Re: wel well well

Its not yours as you are paying the bank.
Yes our cup final was agains a lower league side who beat arsenal and villa on the way while we beat the holders liverpool and chelsea away.
And the most expensive houses are in caswell and langland.
Just a few facts for u to ponder over

You love this forum paul, you talk about it away from here too I hear. You are a closet cardiff city fan really, it's quite sweet.
A thin line between love and hate isn't there, you say you hate us but we all know you don't. You even came to the ninian pub once to meet some on here and you wanted to be loved. You can't help where your born though, you just wanted it to be 40 miles to the east then you could have been part of a proper football crew that had respect of its own ilk. I only say this as you refer to times years ago that involved agro quite frequently. You like to think your a lad etc...I'm sure your alright deep down, you should let it go though before it's too late. It's all history now and you can't rewrite it. Your club is pretty sorted whilst we still have loons running the asylum like we always have, I guess it will never change.... why don't Swansea have any decent mbs? Genuine q as I would post on them.....

Perhaps one or two are more expensive in Caswell, but many many more in Cardiff bay are and outweigh them by Millions.....
Still can't un-ring a bell, you beat Bradford. End of. Ponder that. :D :D :D

Difference being is we will be a mid table championship next season with our OWN stadium, and with a real manager.

You will be a mid table championship side with a rented stadium, and a player as ur manager. I would say whos gonna pay ur rent with all those empty seats as well, but we all know Huw will just not pay the rent. :ayatollah:

So explain to me the benefits of owning your stadium

I suppose it's the same as owning your own house.
It's on the books as an asset.

But you have to have mortgage to pay for it. Or you pay cash in which case you lose interest on the capital. Or you rent. In which case you don't have a mortgage and neither do you lose a big chunk of capital. Makes sound economic sense to me.

It is not mortgaged it is ours.
Not every property loses interest on capital either. :laughing6:
So, in your opinion, everyone in rented property in the UK are better off?

That's not what I said. If you pay cash for something, as well as losing the capital you've spent, you also lose the interest you would have received on the capital had you left it in the bank. The interest on the capital would go a long way towards paying the rent. You can't compare the pros and cons of renting commercial property to renting residential property as they are two different animals

Tell that to Pompey and Coventry. :D

Totally different. Our landlord is the local council.

How do you say that jack? Just remember, if we go down, tan fucks off, a new owner comes in, we turn back to our blue kit and hey presto a full house.
Now on the other hand, you cannot fill a tiny council house. and don't come back with you extension, because that cannot happen until you pay £3.2m you owe my council back for the loan to your council for building the shithole.

For Swansea fans to come on here & mock Cardiff for losing against Championship opposition in the cup, you'd assume that they've won all their cup games against a Championship opposition this season...

A house will be sold with the purpose it is being sold for. The owners will use the money to move somewhere else.

Who will buy a stadium for £40 million? Will an English team relocate to Cardiff to play? Where will you play then? Not viable.

Its very creative accounting. It is worth the land it sits on, which is £6m isnt it?

You cannot make a distinction between the "city "of Swansea and the "county" of Swansea. They're one and the same thing. Either the Gower is within the city and county of Swansea's boundaries, or it is outside. In much the same way as Lisvane is within the boundaries of the city and county of Cardiff. Obviously neither are in their respective city centres, but they are both part of their city and counties.
For the record.. the entire Gower peninsula and each and every one of it's dwellings are part of the city and county of Swansea. That includes your surfy friends homes (whether they like it or not).
