Spot on ! It's the responsibility of the recruitment team to find the players .

Yes Financial management approved the deal but no fck all about the game and why should they , it's not their job.

The manager gives recommendations and based on these the board provides the finances

If they didn't think that paying £7.5 million for the top scorer in the Danish leave and Danish player of the year was worth it then they shouldn't have provided the financing

So your saying although the club were paying good money to Malky and moody for their expertise in the transfer market and knowledge of players that ultimately it is still the responsibility of tan and lim who know nothing about football to decide if that player is good enough to be signed.
Could you imagine what stick tan would have if it was found out that he had blocked one of malkys signings because he did not think the player was worth the money.
You would have been one of the first on here to moan about tan interfering with malkys management of the club.
So where you are saying its lims fault that the corny deal was a bad one do you now say the signing of Mutch was an inspired decision by lim.

I never approtioned blame to anyone - Simon Lim is the only one doing that.

Malky and Moody did their job well - they scouted a player who was:

Young
An international player for Denmark
Top goalscorer in the Danish League
Later pronounced Danish player of the Year

Now based on that - most people would say he is worth buying - and it took 7.5million to buy him which the board provided.

As a player for Cardiff - it didn't work out because that's football, it's disappointing but the best managers sometimes cannot get tr best out of a player.

A bigger and more expensive example would be Torres - £50 million for a class striker who was proven but it didn't work out

Now in terms of who's fault it was that Cardiff lost money on Cornelius - it is all down to the board & Simon Lim. They approved the purchase and they approved the sale of him - nothing to do with Malky or Moody

Because they have no knowledge of football they now blame Malky when it is not his job to look after the clubs finances

To soulofthesea who says that people like me will find a way to blame Tan - there are many times where I have defended tan, called him a gentlemen for what he's done for Cardiff & welcomed him because I thought that a change of colour was worth the financial stability of the club

I realised then that I can not defend the indefendable, he is childish, he has no knowledge or respect of the game, he has repeatedly promised to turn the debt to equity but still hasn't done so, he has interfered with footballing matters on the field & he fired IMO the greatest manager Cardiff has had because Malky was more liked than he was

I am open minded and listen to the facts - the fact is that the board approved the purchase and sale knowing the costs AND the risks and therefore the responsibility of any money lost is on them
