Not a great term, used loosely like yuppie or chav but there is some substance in it. Not exclusive to new fans as we are all new at some point but generally the boo if we are down at half time, the get him off types simply because he's not up to what they usually see on sky etc..the disappointed at not thrashing teams who have been regular prem teams for decades, the whitts boo boys. It's just education. I get behind the boys regardless. Not like that 'though nothing wrong if you like it that way mind. We're supporters it's in the name ! Everyone's a pundit these days.

agree......ive been a ST holder for 22 years,a fan for 42 years,and ive been called a plastic on here myself tonite..
its not the old guard as they call us that use this term, most like me are just pleased to have so many turn up..
ive always encouraged and welcomed new fans, suddenly there are thousands and thousands that will tell you they were around back in the day and how great it was...........for the greater part it wasnt, less than 3,000 at home in a stadium built for 50,000 shit hot atmoshere { NOT }..200 away a lot of the time, and the team were dreadful.. it doesnt make me a better or more of a fan for doing it......and i always wanted us to be a prem club and knew that if that were to happen we would need to attract boys who supported other clubs, how else do we grow?

Since the invention of internet football games leading to cyber warriors i never known so many people to moan about players games managers.We have people demanding to stand then just stand like carboad cut outs, looking at there phones all game, waiting to go home saying on line the atmosphere is rubbish to many plastics there.

Time for everyone to get behind OLE and the team we have been waiting over 50 years to get to this position now the team needs US to help them get the wins we need.Its been many years since we have been IN a relegation fight, the fans always helped the team WE STAND AS ONE TOGETHER TO THE END.With abit of luck we can do this together if not we try again next season, A BLUEBIRD IS FOR LIFE not just a season in the premier league.

A plastic fan is someone who last season supported man u , chelsea, liverpool , arsenal etc then seen cardiff go up and then supported cardiff as they could go to the games because there used to watching there number 1 team on tv and there season ticket would of been a sky remote, and now if we do go down cardiff will soon be forgotton about and they will get a season ticket with there remote again and watch there top 4 side all season on tv and not support cardiff until there back in the prem!!
