As you can imagine, i dont have a dossier of names. But there would be many interested in buying a Championship club for £12m with no debt and another £30m of parachute payments to come.

On that basis alone £12m is probably under selling it. But to me is a good price for a quick sale where more loan notes wont have to be drawn up.

Unsurprisingly David Marshall was named Man of the match for his heroic performances in the Cardiff goal. His centre-back Ben Turner also had a terrific game and had it not been for that late Weimann save he could have won the award.

Marshall made four saves which isn’t as many as some other heroic goalkeeping displays – think Tim Krul at White Hart Lane earlier this season – but their magnitude means he deserves the award.

The save from Weimann was impressive but a better one had followed just moments later from a Fabian Delph shot which was deflected off Steven Caulker. Marshall has had a tough time this season, no keeper has had to make more saves in the Premier League this season he has but at the same time he does give him opportunities to produce man of the match displays such as this one. If he keeps this up, it could be the difference between Cardiff staying up and going down.
