Only ever supported Cardiff.... Never seen the point of supporting another team.
I used to flip my Div 1/Premier teams depending on who had the most Welsh players were in the team, but seeing as we are premier league I don't have to do it anymore
For some weird patronising feeling I now want County to do well, I hated them in the 80's

id happly admit when I was young I supported man utd till age of 8 just because of my friends at the time and weren't really into football much but enjoyed playing it, it wasn't until 2002 when I was 12 I went to my first live football match and that was Cardiff and ive been hooked since and im 23 now

My old man is a Man U fan so I liked them growing up.
As I grew up I found that supporting Cardiff was the right thing to do.

I would like to apologise if anyone was offended by my use of the word rubbish.
I only used that language because I thought the plastic element of our support would be confused if I used the word underachieving

I've never supported any team other than Cardiff. Yes there have been times when everything about being a City fan was dire, except for, of course being a City fan!

Only ever the bluebirds,my dad made sure of that! By saying all them kids in liverpool, man utd tops will probably never visit their grounds and how can you support a team that you have no connections to?? I converted my 16 yr old nephew from liverpool to city, and now he has a scholarship with us! Sooooo proud! He now proudly tells everyone he is a cardiff fan.p.s.my dad didnt ask me what kit I wanted when my birthday arrived,he bought me a city one.would have slapped me if I asked for any other team.

I guess it's a wind-up, but what the hell... I'm from the Rhondda , I support my nearest professional football league team , which happens to be us. My first game was Oct 1970, I 'supported' Liverpool for about a week when we sold Toshack to them, my late father told me not to be so stupid , he was right. Still there, and proud that the vast majority of people into football up here support us...Rhondda 1015...past, present, future...

growing up i started supporting man utd only because my best friend supported them at the time it was out of them and liverpool everyone i knew supported. my dad hated football ( egg chaser) so had no real influence at home. never went to see them just watched them on tv sky/motd. only games i ever seen were wales international games growing up.
my first city game i went to see i f*cking loved it. all thanks to my french teacher in school. went to his lesson one day and he had a load of tickets gave them to me and about 10 of my mates for exeter i think. must have been around 13 or 14 at the time now pushing 30 never looked back since

Hello all, first time poster. I have always followed/ supported the city, since my early teens,( am now 57,) encouraged by knowing this was my grandfathers team. Not really been interested in supporting any other team. Coming from the valleys I have noticed that kids who like both rugby and football will always support a welsh rugby team and never Bath, Wasps, or whoever but will freely support an English football team, just an observation, could it be the tv profiles of the " big" clubs. If the City can stay at the top, for say 10 years, will posts like this bee seen again, as success will draw the youngsters to the city instead of teams from over the bridge.

"Followed" UTD as a kid.. moved from cardiff to an island when i was five years old. Didn't get back into footy til i was 17 (2007).. naturally started watching UTD in the pubs but then caught whiff of the city in the '08 FA cup run and I've been in love ever since. Try get up to cardiff as often as i can afford - saw loads of championship games but no lower league stuff or prem. Love the passion the old boys have on here, the long road to the prem must of been long but f*cking fun. lost my accent a long time ago though, so a few funny faces are given at games.. My biggest regret? Never seeing ninian - something i've gotta live with for the rest of my life

and if all that makes me a plastic then i am as plastic as they come.

I was a Man United fan as a kid, before I even discovered Cardiff City.
My dad took me to my first City game in 2005 when I was 10 and I've been going ever since.

I've supported Cardiff City, and gone to games, home and sometimes away, in all four divisions.
Never thought that we were 'rubbish', though. Just not very good sometimes.
The Jimmy Andrews and Frank Burrows years were as good as anything since, including this Premier League season.
