Seating has spoilt atmospheres in grounds, but after visiting the 2 manchesters, arsenal and liverpool away - I still think we have a better atmosphere at CCS that at their grounds with 40000 to 76000 attendances

In my opinion there are a vast array of reasons why our atmosphere has been on the decline in recent years! Many of which have already been outlined on previous posts my take on it is:

1. the move to a new stadium has contributed, the layout is mainly to blame, family stand is next to the away fans which doesn't help in my opinion, at NP we were right next to them in the grange, we as fans our split, all the vocal fans intent on giving it their all to their team should reside in one section either canton or the ninian stand which it doesn't matter, but prefer this in the ninian as we are in the away fans face! The grange was known for it's dogged atmosphere and at the CCS we have no area like this!

2. Rebrand and opinion on tan and his methods, many of the more vocal fans have turned away because of this, we as a fanbase are divided on all fronts we sing songs in sections not as whole entity of supporters. The only fans that are doing is proud our away fans, they are sheer class, evident at Anfield and most away games! They do us proud

3. New fans entering the mix are completely ignorant to any of the songs they don't want to sing they would rather moan and boo our players rather than belting out a city anthem! Do you think these people will travel the length and breadth of the country to support the team I'm
Not too sure they would!

4. Performances, we are in a battle and up until the weekend we were bottom, our struggle is evident and fans seem to turn easy on players and managers and quick to lay blame, they don't infact appreciate that we are in the premier league and don't feel the need to support the team. With better performances come better atmosphere maybe when we are the team that goes up
In the 1st 10 minutes and not concede maybe this will have some effect in getting people of their lazy arses and start singing and supporting!

We have no excuses as a fanbase we are capable of creating a wild atmosphere and everybody knows it I.e Man city, the welsh are the one of most vocal nations we need to stick together and support and not boo an jeer through the rough times and the good times! Leave your managerial nouse outside the stadium withdraw your opinions until the full time whistle and while the game is going on support your team!

1) generic modern stadium
2)family stand next to the away fans
3) no terreces
4) different people going, even at away games much older, more sensible heads.
5) no hooligan culture left, hate it or love it we were right twats Home and away, rowdy as f**k, but as as previous point most of these people don't attend anymore!
6) modern fan sits down and waits to be entertained, not interested in trying to lift the team when there down just criticise them eg on sat

Nothing to do with family stand next to the away end. 119 are close to close to the away fans and a lot of old school and they are quiet except the odd "We'll always be blue"
