Can't see Ole picking him, if his team selections at Molde are anything to go by he may make wholesale changes to keep everyone fresh. I wouldn't pick Whitts at the moment because something is just not right with him. His tackling has always been pretty poor but lately has been virtually non existent. His delivery at corners and free kicks have in the past always been good, again recently poor. There doesn't appear to be any goals in him either. I just don't think he has the fight in him and we will need that next weekend, it's going to be a war. Selection in midfield will be key, we will need some grunt in there and no doubt substitutions will be important again. Ole doesn't half like his impact players coming off the bench. It's going to be fun enjoy it lads :ayatollah:

I'm sorry, but this obsession regarding his tackling ability (or lack of it) is absolute codswallop. Are people saying that they've never, ever seen him make one tackle? If so, then that's nonsense. Anyone remember that great tackle he made on Chris Burke in October 2012 against Birmingham, when Burke was away on the counter? Brilliant sliding tackle. But that's just one example.

Granted, his tackling ability is so-so, but Paul Scholes couldn't tackle properly to save his life, but it never affected his game adversely. It makes more sense to stay on your feet, and block off potential routes to goal for opposition teams just through good positioning, which Whitts has.
