How is Whittingham lazy? Annis levels this at him almost daily.

'Just my opinion of todays game as a fan' Why do you feel the need to qualify a post like that?

If Whittingham is lazy then 99% of our fan base are statues in comparison.

Most fans don't move two yards once the game starts, they just sit in their seats and clap. Then when a work horse like Whittingham bursts around the field they get too tired from the effort of watching him and fall asleep only to wake up when Whittingham loses the ball because they have their ears tuned to the sound of him losing it.

FACT.

For the last 3p minutes we hung on by the skin of our shit. Norwich battered us. Whdreas the football with Malky was boring, at least there was some solidity in defense. Today we were all over the place a d Norwich looked like they had an extra man or 2 on the pitch. Why can't we keep possession for more than a couple of passes ?

Though most importantly it was 3 points, especily needed after other results went against us.

I think Whitts is suffering from a lack of confidence at the moment and needs a rest but he is still a vital part of our squad and on form has superb technical ability which can turn a game he deserves our support and will hopefully get his form back :ayatollah:

2nd worst defensive record in prem under Malky and you call it solid?

This "we were good defensively under Malky" is a total myth

solidity in defence? liverpool and southampton we were three nil down before half time. when malky left we had the second worse defence in the premier league.
the initial first 8 games we did what all other teams do when they come up and thats play out of our skins before there is enough footage of us for the other teams to suss out our style of play etc.
a classic example of that was that medel and gunnar were superb for those games but teams were then just playing around gunnar as if he wasent there a few games later.
