Whits has been a great servant to the club and needs confidence back in his game. Well done to those cheering him off today as you may have just ruined any chance of that happening. Pathetic.

He deserves better.

He does. I feel embarrassed for us.

Unfortunately most of free kicks this season, imcluding that truly awful effort today, have been far more dangerous to people in the stands than they have to the opposition goalkeeper.

Does that warrant booing though? It's up to the manager to pick the team. Solskjaer rightfully changed it when he saw Whittingham playing out of position on the left as he was exposed with pace. Zaha should have started from the start in heinseight

Played out of position and plays poorly. What a surprise aye.

Playing an attacking minded player in a defensive minded position is the epitome of idiocy.

I totally agree, I was cringing for him! The jeers lacked any class, but I'm sorry to say so has his performances of late.

It was right decision for the team at the time and a tough one for OGS. I think not starting him may have been the best option in hindsight. But we all know the cliche that goes with that being said.

I've never thought Whitts was a mentally strong player and I think this will crush him and take some coming back from. I just hope he does put it behind him because he has shown in the past the quality he can have in his locker.

No it absolutely does not warrant the cheering when he was withdrawn. That was totally embarrassing.
